OSUmetstud
one thing that I didn't mention in my first post about the NW trend that I should have lol. If the northern shortwave trends stronger and soon enough that it starts to phase to the southern stream...then the kicker idea leading to no net movement goes out the window. CoastalWx
GFS looks like near or a pube nw of the BM. Sleet line gets to perhaps near TOL-BOS but collapsed south after hr 66.

CoastalWx
Soundings are pretty much SN for BOS, but it gets marginal at hr 63, so I could see a little rain or sleet mixing in.

Clinch Leatherwood
Bring on the euro....ride it to the barn. Gfs no commentonundo. I know everyone is joking but I do know at least one person here who knew the tagger that had an unfortunate incident from the nader chase show. Maybe not the most appropriate reference....but beats me.
Damage In Tolland
that's a sizable event from BOS-ORH-HFD etc. You think this is more a mashed potatoes type storm or a 28 degree dense, but powdery snow?

If we get a major snowfall in Boston the city is going to shut down. Just outside of my office we're down to 2 parking spaces out of 10.

Just outside of my office we're down to 2 parking spaces out of 10. it will be interesting to see what happens if you get this snowfall and then another snowstorm within day 10. theyll have to start trucking the snow out of the harder hit burbs/city area. i wonder if we will begin seeing snow removal equipment being sent down from here? MJHUB
Even with a few hours of mixing, I still get a Foot of snow on this run in Northern RI. How you feel about attleboro, seekonk or PVD metro? GFS seems like mostly snow based on NCEP charts on coolwx, printed out over a foot of snow on 6z GFS. Anyone got thougts on this, work in transportation industry would be much appreciated.
