40/70 Benchmark
About an inch...there could be 2" somewhere N of the pike or into S NH. Between that, the wknd clipper and big daddy, I have a legit shot at 20".
Brian5671
That would probably cancel the GTG then for an inch of snow?
ericnh
That's a ton of qpf mostly snow in a short period of time. If my eyes are right I'm at close to 1.5. So Euro holds serve but trends JUST a tad colder. CMC/GFS/UKMET/ECMWF are signifiant snow events with some sleet for most. I like we're we sit after the 12Z suite. Yes the NAM is a dead ratter....and who give a sh it. how much qpf for mht? where can I go to see a qpf map for the euro?
40/70 Benchmark
yeah i think you are golden either way, very good chance you crack 30 inch depth after this one. Mike will get 10"+ and he can hold me to that and torment me should it not come to pass.

CoastalWx
That is some serious cold on the euro. Wow. Hudson Bay PV FTW.
40/70 Benchmark
Maybe for some. 2 or 3" of snow with temps near 30F isn't a big deal. Absolutely classic Jan/Feb 1994 setup occurring at D7-8 on the Euro. Monster PV in Hudson Bay with broad positively tilted trough out into the central US and Rockies. I subtely commented on that after last night's run.....nice overruning.
Organizing Low
Mike will get 10"+ and he can hold me to that and torment me should it not come to pass. you might need to buy that ladder for snowdepth measurements im glad i get the boston channels, im looking forward to seeing the face of all the awestruck residents. And I'm driving from way away I would not dream of not showing on the count of 2-3" of snow. I'm just about ready to annoint this as the best winter in my 30 years. CTWeatherFreak
For some odd reason the map I posted was TOTALLY different from the one that I copied...so here is a print screen...I tried posting the image but it would post different than what is shown Wiz, your map was yesterday's.. it was a 72 hr map showing effective time as wed, 12z! Any idea of qpf for our area? Tombo's pbp in the NY forum is awesome, but we have to guess out our qpf.. Maybe we can sublease his srvcs for NE forum? ORH_wxman
That is some serious cold on the euro. Wow. Hudson Bay PV FTW. -40C 850 temps. I think Hudson Bay and NE Canada are going to try and make up for a year's worth of warmth in 1 month. But its a nice delivery of cold for our area too. We might flirt with pellets sometimes, but thats what happens in 1994 setups.
dryslot
I think he gives a pretty objective play by play, but to my defense I did say 'go with the objective "ones". I wasn't implying there was only one. It was purely based off Dryslots comment earlier about it going NW. But, alas... dropped : ) Precip is further NW up here 00z Northern Maine was 0.10" at 12Z its .25" Downeast Maine 1.00" 12z 1.25" Its further NW at this lat..... wxsniss
Absolutely beautiful set of 12Z runs for most of SNE. EURO, GFS, GGEM, UKIE all coming into pretty good agreement with a track slightly west or on the BM... NAM continues with a raggedy sheared out system farther east due to a piece of mid-level energy hanging a second SLP further SW... Appreciate the play-by-play on the EURO Will & Tombo (see NYC / Philly threads)! Question is... when does the NAM cave? 18Z, 0Z tonight?
ericnh
A solid 1 inch for mht, you are in good shape nice hoping we get more as of now that is at least an 8-12" dump here would like to see 12"+ lets see how high we can get our snowdepth! amazing winter epic winter for sure with no end in site! '93-'94 had a lot of flirting with pellets but it was 90% snow. The pellets just sort of glacierized the snow pack to impenetrable levels.

The NAM will not only cave, but signal a change to rain for most of New England by its 12z run tomorrow. And it will pull all other models into that camp by 00z tomorrow night. Do you like that? Do you like what you just made me say?!

Organizing Low
You might get into the mini swfe advertised near d8 or so. you know me Scott im not one to bet against seasonal trends. ill take my little clippers and northern impulses and hope for the best. it certainly is impressive whats happening down your way though. the difference between you guys this year and the MA is that you get to hold onto your snow in between events. its a real winter, new england style. All of CT over 1 inch QPF, Hartford and points east are in the 1.25 to 1.5 inch area, looks like maybe extreme eastern CT is 1.5 to 1.75 inches along with ORH points east.
