kpantz
No scoffing here, it is just comical to see the thinking-aloud self-therapy that goes on in these threads. Maybe if I say it enough it will be true type of thing. I for one have no idea what is going to happen.
Psychologists would have a field day in here....as long as we first taught them about bombogenesis, CCBs, pig arse ridges and Ji. MJO812
GFS is also showing that 2 storm solution. This should be interesting.
NorthShoreWx

And everyone scoffing at it lives in NY. What's your point? Let's just appreciate the event for what it is. Why did you delete William's post yesterday when he stated why he did not think a west track would happen?
LVblizzard
NAM and GFS are very similar through 45 with the exception of the GFS being a little warmer.
wxman
GFS is also showing that 2 storm solution. This should be interesting. Very Nam like thru 48 (a little warmer), looks like DC may be getting hit hard if thats snow at hr 48.

Storm At Sea
Psychologists would have a field day in here....as long as we first taught them about bombogenesis, CCBs, pig arse ridges and Ji. chubbs
Continues colder. Snow shield in Va expanding nicely at
blazess556
GFS is very cold in all the levels northwest of the city. High pressure to the west is a little stronger and the low helps turn the flow ageostrophic.
ptb127
Climo truly means little this winter. 6 out of the past 7 winters have had below normal snowfall here. Climo hasn't meant much really. And is getting close to being re-written. Truly unreal.

NorthShoreWx
Why did you delete William's post yesterday when he stated why he did not think a west track would happen? It occurs to me that it might not have been kpantz who deleted William's post, and if that is the case then please excuse the misdirected question. But the fact is someone did delete a reasonable post and I had the feeling that it had more to do with some sort of regional conflict than anything in the content of the post. He is one of the most level headed posters and I found that very troubling.
Storm At Sea
qpf slashed for LV, North Jersey and NYC compared to 18z Yes, but with a colder airmass in place, these places will make up for it with better ratios. Instead of 10:1, probably 12:1.
jm1220
Very 3/1/09 like with the batch of initial WAA precip, and then the dynamic precip associated with the upper level support. Hopefully the second batch is as dynamic and long lasting as possible, since that's how most of us get snow on this run. VERY impressive though for the length of time it's in the area. WintersGrasp
We are at a point now where we are looking at a light mix of rain/sleet/snow turning to a heavy snow...6-10" for NYC and northern NJ....also...a VERY quick hit. Funny how this went from a 36 hour snowstorm to a 6 hour snowstorm....always seems to!
