CT Rain
Pretty powerful storm regardless. What a disaster for travel. FML next week. Yeah you're going to have a rough time. Especially if this trends any farther south and ORD/DTW/MSP get in to place... plus a ripping LLJ for the east coast terminals

CT Rain
Let's keep in mind the Euro is also pretty extreme with that super cold closed low dropping down into the northern Plains. The GFS is definitely more muted with the northern Plains trough and probably is a little closer to reality. What that means down the road... who knows. CT Rain
so a low over BUF? Well if that trough isn't so crazy deep we probably have a better chance of popping a good secondary.

Baroclinic Zone
Wanna bet? Please explain in detail why it won't It's not a function of trending south. The trough is carved out too fr west pumping up heights along the east coast. As i said, I'd feel better about this if the energy were diving into NE as opposed to ID shoving the trough axis east. The PAC is in control.
Tropopause_Fold
Well if that trough isn't so crazy deep we probably have a better chance of popping a good secondary. who knows what will happen. it was in jest. i was just blending the two as they are at face value...a full blown powerhouse blizzard passing through the central lakes and a bomb in the GOM...so make it a bomb over BUF. dryslot
so a low over BUF? No, In strength of the 2 primarys, I think we would see a stronger secondary devlopment with a scenario between the 2...
