packbacker
Doesn't look like it to me, not sure how that low would run up the apps out to 42....this one could be interesting for NC though as it's taking it's sweet time in LA. It's definitely not running up the Apps.
DaculaWeather
I'd welcome the heavy rain.. just wish it were 70 degrees and not 40! that's me, if it's not gonna snow, give me 70's.!

packfan98
On the NAM that low in the GOM is really bombing I want to see where it ends up going. It looks really far south too at hr 48 in the gulf and it looks like over a 100 miles south of the florida panhandle.
weatherman566
Anyone look at the SPC for day 2 and 3? I'm very interested in not only the winter aspect, but the severe weather chances with this system.

Weather Czar
This run is colder. 850 temps are below freezing in south central TN northern Miss and Ala. Snow might be falling there.

packbacker
It should be east of the 12z NAM run.
Justicebork
Yeah, the 850 line is really fighting to get south. The low is finally coming on shore at 54 SE of the panhandle

packfan98
First hint of dynamic cooling on hr 54 in AL and MS because the pressure is down to 1007mb. A weak 1021 high showing up in new england that wasnt there before.

gritsnc
I'd welcome the heavy rain.. just wish it were 70 degrees and not 40! Ditto. I love some snow, but cold rain can take a hike! I'm still looking forward to February.
FoothillsNC
This run is colder. 850 temps are below freezing in south central TN northern Miss and Ala. Snow might be falling there. This is an interesting run, the surface low is way down there, near the Bend of Fl. Anyway you can see the dynamic cooling NAM tries to show, on the nw flank of the 850 low. It will ebb and flow with this probably through the storm, and gradually get colder as the model realizes the atmosphere isn't all that warm, and the lift will adequately be able to cool the 850's, but still doesn't guarantee snow below there either. You need great lift and not so warm layer beneath it. I really like how its headed for areas west of the Apps so far. They won't have as much problem with low level cold as aireas east of the Apps probably
Weather Czar
At 57 all of Tn is below freezing at 850 so is far western NC and all of norhtern miss and ALA. Much colder run.

superjames1992
NAM gives yet another solution...at this rate that low in FL might not reach us till Friday LOL, I hope it does because I might just chase it if that occurs (or at the very least go back to GSO where I have a better chance at getting snow than RDU). FoothillsNC
at 60 hours the 5H center is about the furthest south I've seen on any model yet, by Mobile/Biloxi.
mercurydime
I agree especially on the weekends...13 would be better off not even broadcasting Saturday and Sunday. There was a time (not all that long ago) in which I wouldn't make that comment but seems like now our market, in general, really suffers on the weekend shows. word up
