dmc76
I'm right on the northern edge of a stationary moderate/heavy band of snow. It's snowing fairly good here, but I can only imagine how good it's snowing just a mile or two to my south. Hopefully it can budge northward just a tad. Where are you in Mich? snowstormcanuck
Just some flurries here from today's clipper. Not expecting more than a dusting.

baroclinic_instability
With so much focus on the potential "big storm" next week--this clipper has been somewhat forgotten. Going to be a good snow event for a lot of folks here from N MN through WI and into MI. I would think the WWA will be extended into N WI shortly. Stevo6899
Looked like most of the good snows were along 696 but a band developed right along 59 here in Shelby. Maybe an inch and coming down good. Also good to see Nam and gfs with. 25+ with second clipper.

Ajdos
Great clipper, picked upabout .25 of snowfall in 3 hours.. :/ awesomeness
snowstormcanuck
Assuming both these clippers bust here, it'll solidify a lackluster second half of January. I'm at 20" on the nose for the month, but 16.8" fell before January 16th.

cyclone77
Way overachieved here. Last night most of the models were giving us less than 0.05" precip, but we picked up 1.8" here. Snowed pretty heavily at times late morning. Nice big flakes. Brings our snow depth up to a little over 5" now, and over 35" for the season. A-L-E-K
Best totals have stayed along or north of the WI/IL border. LIGHT SNOW CONTINUES TO MOVE SOUTHEAST ACROSS THE SOUTHERN HALF OF THE CWA THIS AFTERNOON. EXPECT THIS LIGHT SNOW TO LINGER INTO THE EVENING HRS ACROSS THE FAR SOUTHEAST CWA. ACCUMULATIONS HAVE GENERALLY BEEN IN THE 1 TO 1.5 INCH RANGE ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA...WITH A STRIP OF 2 INCHES ALONG THE I-80 CORRIDOR.
michsnowfreak
Off to a good start! Clipper #1 is an overachiever here! As of 730 had 2.1" imby and still snowing nicely, whereas there was 1.5" at DTW. Over 16" on the month now and a solid 6" on the ground. Beautiful glittery snow too, Will wait to shovel til it ends in a few hours, then barely a 24-hour break before the next one! Really has been a great winter here for people like me who are into frequent snow and constant snowcover.

Hopefully it's not as dry as the 12z run.
Powerball
I've also noticed as the clipper gets closer the models have showing a narrower band of heavier snow versus a widespread heavier snow. Though I suppose that shouldn't be surprised, that's how most clippers are.

snowstormcanuck
Have come full circle with this clipper. 0z NAM is now a complete whiff to the SW. Cold and dry. 5 days ago I was expecting a 980 tracking between Lk Superior and James Bay with a mini thaw imby.

Powerball
lol. Well the GFS & NAM are in lockstep agreement when it comes to QPF values. The question now is does the very narrow band set up like the NAM shows or like the GFS shows.

If banding sets up as the low sort of pivots before moving eastward, before the low starts to weaken, I can some areas picking up 5-6 inches. Looks like a 2-4 atleast hopefully
