turtlehurricane
Rain just suddenly stopped, we're probably entering the subsidence side of the frontogenetic circulation, and the transition is quite sharp. 41.3 °F, literally only 5 more degrees and the boundary layer should be cool enough for frozen precip, just need the sun to kickstart convection in the cold pool. turtlehurricane
Dropping by the minute, now 37.7 °F. If we can get below freezing fast enough there'll be a flash freeze since everything is soaked right now.
turtlehurricane
Just dropped below freezing on top of the met building, so icing may begin to occur at the surface in the next hour or so, mostly in shady spots since the sun is gonna rise in 10 minutes. Anything that falls will obviously be snow.
A-L-E-K
Looks like we got a good soaker last night, best guess .6-.7 or so.
turtlehurricane
Geez, now down to 29.6 °F on top of the met building. The sun is useless right now.

Hoosier
Today is going to be one of those deceptive days. The high was 56 very early in the morning. We're going to spend essentially all of the daylight hours in the 30's.

cyclone77
Had snow showers and flurries off and on all afternoon. No accumulation though, as flake size has been relatively small.
Thundersnow12
have had flurries and snow showers for most of the afternoon here and some areas with a dusting and even small amounts of blowing snow on butterfield rd on my way home.
turtlehurricane
Over 6 hours of continuous flurries/light snow here. Small dusting-like accumulations are everywhere, with occasional wisps of blowing snow on the road.
hawkeye_wx
We got a few flurries this morning(first of the season) and then a very light snow shower this afternoon. The most significant thing I noticed this afternoon is the ground is now frozen. The QC nws has been saying in their recent discos that the ground was too warm for any snow accumuation, but that wasn't the case at all. The few flurries that did fall stuck and blew around a bit. AppsRunner
Finally got the first flakes today. Nice light snow shower for 2 minutes. Some halfway decent sized flakes. Another T in the recordbook for KTOL this November.
Chicago WX
I went out for a walk tonight and it definitely felt wintry with snowflakes falling and a "sneaky" cold wind. Love it.
