Almost time to box them up until March. Probably this weekend if the cold looks to hold true. Already can't wait until late April/early May when I can plant my tropicals all back outside again. Sigh....

Probably have to box them up on Monday or Tuesday.

Interesting evening here. Temps crashed at sunset. Dipped down to 27 quite quickly, but have since risen a few degrees. High pressure moving on, so temps may actually continue to rise.

The same thing happened here. Dropped down to 27F, went back up to 29F and now we're back down to 27F.

23F here this morning, hopefully that will kill off any lingering bugs and spiders out and about..

You would think so. Kind of amazing to me to see how hearty some of these bugs are though, even after numerous nights below freezing this Fall.

It'd be nice to know there's a "plan B" if the midweek storm doesn't work out but man, for the 3rd run in a row, the GFS is bone dry between D6 and D16.

Exactly the problem I am dealing with, although there is still a chance of some overrunning precip from 156-180. But after that... nothing.

Edit: Although the 240 Euro and 240 GFS do look much different.....

Yeah, EURO looks interesting at 240, although a bit warm.

GFS on the other hand reminds me of much of last winter with that huge vortex over the north Atlantic.

Lake Michigan FTW....

WITH THE GFS/CANADIAN AND ECMWF DEVELOPING

SECONDARY CYCLOGENESIS IN THE APEX OF THE INVERTED TROUGH OVER LAKE

ERIE/GFS...OVER WISCONSIN/CANADIAN/...OR OVER ERN LAKE

SUPERIOR/ECMWF/...AS THE SHORT WAVE GOES NEGATIVE TILT THURSDAY.

WILL GO WITH CHANCE POPS FOR MAINLY SNOW...WITH A MIX ALONG THE LAKE

AS EASTERLY WINDS BRING WARMER AIR IN FROM OVER THE LAKE.

I have dealt with that 2 times this fall and I am praying it does not happen again. It is a nightmare.

Temp bust here today. This morning's forecast high for today was 50, only made it to 43. On top of that, stratus held tough and 15-20 MPH winds with gusts to 30 made it a raw, miserable day to be working outside. End of whining.

Same here. Forecast was for 53º, but only made it to 46º (or possibly 47º).

Scorcher coming up Sun and Mon...KIND forecasting 61º and 66º respectively here. Lock it in for at least 70º for LAF on Mon.
