tornadojay
That's really awesome. Was he instantly in love? yea.. he told me he was going to try to go outside and get a picture of it. He didn't quite get the concept of how light or heavy it was.. we were just having flurries so I told him this is really light.. I told him he'd know if it was coming down hard as you wouldn't be able to see much in the distance. I think the cold coming down the pike during the next 2 weeks will probably be shocking as well. nzucker
Very impressive cold lately here in Southern Westchester. Today's high: 32.7F Yesterday's high: 34.0F I was away in Vermont visiting some friends, was bitterly cold and windy up there but didn't realize how chilly it had been in NYC metro as well. Very impressive and below normal temperatures look to continue for the next 10 days.

Isotherm
I've seen 8 really good winters in the last 17 years. That followed a stretch when I witnessed just 1 really good winter in 26 years. We'll see how it plays out... And 6 of those have been in the past 10 years. 2010-2020 has some big shoes to fill.
