A-L-E-X
Yeah,it's the right set up for it to occur. The NAM also has a nice band moving through the south side of NYC Metro. So we might actually see something here?
Sundog
Has LGA gone below freezing yet? If not, they will surely do so tonight! No they only dropped to 33 last night. Epic.

If you look the returns are only like 12dbz and the humidity is in the 40's. The only thing were going to see out of this is a bunch of clouds. uncle W
I hope this cold air produses some snow down the line...A white Christmas would be great...Last year it rained Christmas day melting the snow that was on the ground...What a mess... 12/5/2003...This storm was gone way before Christmas but is the largest 1st week of December storm of my life... http://nycsubway.org/perl/show?29219
NYCSuburbs
I only had a high of 34 today, it's possible that I might have had flurries but I didn't see any. The low temperature last night busted badly, only at 30 instead of the mid 20s, and I'm still steady in the lower 30s. It may not be until Tuesday night that low temperatures can actually drop well into the 20s.
tmagan
Kind of cool to open up the NWSFO OKX website and see the 'Lake Effect Snow Advisory' appear on the watches, warnings, and advisories list even though it isn't for their CWA. One could argue, looking at radar, that a lake effect snow advisory could be issued for Sullivan county, which is in OKX's CWA.
Edge Weather
6z GFS puts the Delaware River as the breaking point between blizzard/heavy rain with the center of low pressure near NYC as a deepening 976 mb low strengthening to 970mb and moving inland to CT. Actually has my house on the dividing line with about half snow and half rain, but it is within a couple of miles of Blairstown, NJ.
