High of 31.6F here in Dobbs Ferry after a low of 20.6F.

Currently at 24.1F, headed for the mid-teens tonight as skies are clear and winds rapidly slackening.cold.gif

Looks like some rain Sunday/Monday changing to flurries and then back into the freezer with a massive -NAO block and -20C 850mb temperatures moving into the area. thumbsupsmileyanim.gif

Agree, has nothing to do with shade. Most other stations in N/CNJ had peak temperatures of 29-31F today, including Morristown, Belmar, Somerville, and Teterboro. MOS busted too high on this airmass - it was colder than progged.

31 here. Gridded data FTW AGAIN!

Wow that warm there?? How close are you to the Hudson?

14.8* here..

15* / 9* now - I must have been in between obs - going by KPOU since I am only a few miles south of there.

I am actually about 4 miles east of the river and at 300' in elevation, both of which makes a HUGE difference to the weather believe it or not.

Oh I know... I used to live in New Windsor about 1/2 mile west of the Hudson and 200' in elevation. I remember driving 2 miles west and going up to about 500' and bam pretty sizable temp drop.. You even see it on marginal events wether it be rain or snow..
