NYC got down to 36F and LGA got down to 39F. Pretty absurd given what surrounding areas reported.

I had a low of 28.3F here in Southern Westchester.

I dont know how anyone can take lows at NYC and LGA seriously when stuff like this happens.  Lets just compute temp averages with highs lol-- in all seasons.

I had a low of 26 degrees here, the forecast low was 30 degrees. It's currently 35 degrees, and my forecast low was supposed to be 38 degrees. There should be increasing clouds later tonight though, so the low temperature should be earlier than it would usually be with rising temperatures possible by the morning.

Temps are falling rapidly and my car already has ice on it lol.... I wonder how low it would get if clouds werent coming in?

Do you think it ges below 32 everywhere for the overnight lows this weekend, regardless of a possible storm?

It looks like there should be a trough over the area this weekend, so whether there is a storm or not, especially with any storm being suppressed, a good part of the NYC area should see lows below freezing in the weekend.

I'll tell you all right now...I was in the heart of the UHI, in Jamaica, NY at 8 this morning and there was frost everywhere and puddles had iced over on the streets. I don't how LGA reports such high numbers when other VERY urban areas reached freezing this morning.

Not to mention NYC was high also.  Honestly, low temps at these locations are highly erroneous if you want to compare them to the rest of the region.

28 F at Brookhaven / Upton. If it snowed a little more out here, you might be able to call this a pretty decent winter town...

Nights are plenty cold, you should start blowing snow at your place William. :bike:

Amazing temp gradient in Monmouth right now. About 50F on the shore and upper 20s inland.
