WxMan1
yeah YESTERDAYS sref at 9z and 15z were waaaaaaaaaay too wet west of i-95 and so was the 18z NAM. I am sure Brain u saw the 18z nam turn MUCH wetter for central VA when compared to the 12z? THAT was why I had too Much snow too far west and Upped my snow forecast for RIC and west to Rte 15 you point about the disconnect is 100% correct. THIS time around I thought with the Low Bombing out THIS far south that the disconnect would NOT be a factor. clearly that assumption no matter how reasonable was wrong on my part I did MUCH better jhan other over eastern VA and the Bay and mentioned possible VBlizzard warning a few times here and over the FB page for lower MD eastern shore and se va... btw at 230pm out shovelling -- 5 meaurements all at 6.5" Thanks Dave...I'm hearing around 6-6.5" at my house a few miles N of you (makes sense). Yeah, the "disconnect" is getting annoying. When was the last time we had a system that had already undergone deep cyclogenesis by the time reaching the NC OXB?? Jan 25 2000 and Feb 6-7 1996?? Seems to me we're missing out on those types of events over central VA...at least south-central VA (SE Chesterfield-Petersburg-Colonial Heights-Hopewell). Areas NW of Chester saw their 12"+ storm (or 'storms') last winter...areas E are seeing it today...and yet since I've lived in Chester (Sept 2001) I haven't seen one yet. Suffolkweather
Anybody catch WAVY 10's snowfall graphic? I didn't actually see it, my brother told me about it. He says they painted it like VB had 4-5" while interior sections had the 12+. I would like to see that if anyone happened to catch it
