Suffolkweather
Flat surface technically, you should have a board placed in an open area on the ground.. if you measure on ground..... take 10 measurements spread out and average them. csnavywx
Any thoughts on Bay Effect? I know wakefield mentioned it yesterday. I am due south of the Bay so I am looking for a couple extra inches!! Looking at the 06Z NAM BUFKIT, it doesn't look that favorable for bay effect. Winds don't stay in a favorable direction with decent delta-Ts for more than a 2-3 hour period this afternoon. You might squeeze out a little bit extra from enhancement, but I wouldn't expect a full fledged band to come down the bay into extrm SE VA. WxMan1
Folks, We have FIXED our snowfall maps. You should see a STORM TOTAL amount via our website (...previously it had been just "additional" for today through Monday...). Meanwhile, when we run the ZFP, you should get an additional snow amount today/tonight, as well as the storm total. Again, sorry about the confusion. DT and others: thanks for bringing this to our attention!
