Huffwx
Keep in mind, what works for us down here for the weekend storm doesn't have to work up in DC north-- I think the NAM would show a burst of precip in the next 12 hours for SW and Central VA>

WeSuck
Actually Ryan, looking at the soundings it's pretty much all snow (maybe a hint of freezing rain toward the end). The entire sounding stays below freezing until Hour 48....but by that time the precip is already off the coast. Can we just lock this in and keep it? It's perfect. Oh dear god this is the best thing I have heard all day! lol Keep us updated on the soundings if you can per each model run. I expect TV Mets to begin jumping on tonight at 11pm if GFS follows suit. WeSuck
Focus on one event at a time, please. Anyway... Statement as of 7:15 PM EST on December 14, 2010 ... Record low maximum temperature set at Norfolk VA... A record low maximum temperature of 28 degrees was set at Norfolk VA today. This breaks the old record of 29 degree set in 1904. How many records can ORF break or tie this month?

JB Fins
Lol that is true, what is up with their weather reporting anyway? I know RIC Airport (post name not location), I think posting WXJunkie here, did a great job in a thread on Eastern pointing out some of the huge anomalies in their totals with surrounding areas. I guess it has become a post storm tradition, post our totals and then laugh when they post what was measured at the airport.

All levels below freezing until Hour 45, where we would switch to ice. But, like the NAM, pretty much all the the precip has fallen by then.
