RIC Airport
According to OT, he'll be opening it up as read-only for a time. I'm writing a paper on June 16th severe and would really like to see if there's any maps or useful data that was posted. It would be amazing if we were able to get the entire database over here... there is a ton of EXTREMELY valuable local observations/reports from eastern that has built up over the years. Well I saved my posts back to about a year. I will now need to work on my attachments.

CarolineWx
Isolated severe weather possible tonight across parts of VA and NC, everything should stay very isolated but damaging winds and isolated tornado's can't be ruled out.

Coach McGuirk
I was in Va Beach for lunch so I did end up stopping by. Very poor turn out. Perhaps 120 people but thats a kind estimate. In his defense he didn't mention his firing and kept it religious/political. I am not a big religious enthusiast but I could get behind the things he said. In a way I felt sorry that there were so few people. I chatted him up a little bit and talked briefly about weather stuff. He is a nice guy and a great public speaker. I didn't always agree with his forecasting but I respect the man. I watched John Cash for so many years. He wasn't always right but he was always fun as a TV forecaster. weathervswife
Getting pummeled out here. Close to an inch of rain in the last 30 minutes (3.3") for the event. Virtually constant lightning and house rattling thunder. Wind damage to my deck furniture. This is the wettest Nina I've ever seen.

We had a pretty good gust of wind here in the Chester area about a half hour ago (leading line of storms), sub-severe, but too close for my comfort level! Hope everyone is well. Inudaw
It doesn't look like real cold is coming anytime soon. Have you looked at the 00z Euro? Nothing to out of the ordinary for being cold that's for sure. The Euro keeps our area under south westerly flow aloft from 72 hours out through at least 168 hours. Looking at the day 8-10 mean.. shows some pretty impressive blocking up north.. but with persistent south eastern ridging for the east coast. 12z run http://www.meteo.psu...2z/hgtcomp.html 0z run http://www.meteo.psu.edu/~gadomski/ECMWF_0z/hgtcomp.html

The Euro keeps our area under south westerly flow aloft from 72 hours out through at least 168 hours. OP 0z ECM sucks out to Day 10 with cutter after cutter and the cold air in Canada moderating, but the ENS do show a slightly better pattern by Day 12 with hints of a +PNA and a weak PV coming into SE Canada and lowering heights over the East Coast. It's still a gradient pattern though which probably isn't as favorable for your area, but things would change towards more normal/cooler temperatures by the last couple of days of November.
