Patreeot
Nice waking up to this. Not sure how much, but everything is coated and it's enough to bend the bayberry and Loropetalum, something they've had to get used to since March of '09. Even a dusting on the roads. 32.0 degrees, coming down at a nice clip.

RIC Airport
I wouldn't really say this is a surprise snow. As evident in this post, the models have been picking up on this possiblity for the last several days.
Patreeot
Over 1.5" here, per my finger and my wife's tape measure. Took the dog for a walk. Constant sirens up on Hull St. While the models did show it, the local weather did their best to downplay the possibility of any accumulations. Caught a bunch of people off guard. Lots of neighbors had the porch lights on looking outside, except for the new poeple from Minnesota, who proceeded to jump in the car, snow and all, and drive on away. Down to 31 now.
