NBC 12 busted way high today. They said we'd reach 47 degrees, it's about 37 here. Anyone think we'll get a round 2 tonight?

Only if you're expecting rain :arrowhead: You'll be advecting warmer air into the region overnight instead of cooling... or you'll just hover near where you're at now as the GFS LAMP suggests... http://www.nws.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/lamp/getlav.pl?sta=KRIC

I hate the threat discussion thread. It's so polluted with DC whiners it's impossible to tell what is going on. Are we really looking at rain for Friday? It looks like it'll be cold enough for snow other than the surface temps. Should they be disregarded?

When there is no discussion in this thread, nothing is going to happen here. When it looks like something will happen here, there will be discussion going on here.

Lol 10 inches is still below average for RIC. Would like about 5 more inches of snow before the season is out. As far as the frontal low system.... The further south the low develops the better. Oz nam would probably be the rare rain to snow situation for Ric. Not much precip though.

This is for the day 7 threat (PSU storm.. :P)

Richmond perspective

GGEM = snow to rain

GFS= ....Literally speaking 850's are too warm .. but low is well south and east for a typical rain storm...

GFES = Snow

EURO = SNow to rain ...

UKMET = Looks good.. at 144.. probably at least start as snow..

Nogaps = snow ;p but its always south and east.. and its fairly amped for the storm.

Yep, if we hit 13", I would consider it a decent winter. More would be nice, but i wouldn't really complain about an average winter as many of the last 20 seasons featured wayyyyy below average snowfall.
