In fact, there are probably 3-4 forecasters that actively do. Of course, the "busier" the weather, the least likely we'll be able to check back, thus the espotter reports are the way to go (they ENSURE we get them!) Even here in CHO they are calling for "several inches". All of these "in house" models must really be going gonzo on the precip There haven't been any bad busts on the low side yet so there's not that much pressure to get it right. I went to Wintergreen for the evening and when I was leaving at 10, I heard someone who had just arrived say it snowed all the way up from Gum Springs.
