  1. Weren’t you adding weenies to anyone posting there’s a chance of snow in the immediate metro as recently as yesterday?
  2. Really? I guess this one is prob the first that is even close to being within the realm of reality (not betting on it of course)
  3. lol, always fun to see the first clown map of the year!
  4. Yea pretty strong here in the UWS. Shades of June '23.
  5. We aren't in some sort of crisis drought situation, I'd rather have a dry and enjoyable weekend.
  6. Nonstop lightning in the UWS, impressive
  7. Much less frustrating vs. this happening a month ago. Now we are talking about beautiful upper 70s to low 80s rather than upper 60s.
  8. Are there comparable stats for Tues/Wed or Wed/Thurs? I'd guess that if you looked at any of those two combos, you'd see almost no days with precipitation, lol
  9. Yea agree, I made a similar comment a while back that the climate here is becoming less appealing. Winters too warm for snow and Spring is just cool, wet and gloomy for weeks on end as we are often on the wrong side of BCDFs (at least DC and to a lesser extent Philly salvage more warm and sunnier days during this period). And what makes it worse is how the weekends often are ending up wet - terrible for us with kids!
  10. As we get towards the end of May, even with an onshore flow the temps wouldn't be overly cool so at least we have that going for us. The frequent rain events though...I've had enough! Just an awful pattern this spring.
  11. I have a few Canadian cities on my weather app and there have only been sparingly few days this Spring where they were warmer. It was much more frequent last year with many over the op Highs that really warmed up Montreal and Ottawa.
  12. As much as I love this Knicks team, it's doubtful they win it all. The Rangers have a decent shot though.
  13. Only saving grace is that it's Friday and not Sat/Sun, but yes awful.
  14. 79 with a dew of 45 is uncomfortable? I mean even for cold hounds this is just about perfect.
  15. Awful, especially with next weekend looking raw and wet yet again
  16. Almost seems that Soto performing and Judge not performing is netting out and we are left with the same issues/offensive struggles as last year. Anyway nice to eek out a win!
  17. Are they? Feels like we've had many that have lasted into May in the past several years, espec with these crazy blocking patterns. Memory could be hazy trying to remember earlier times tho!
  18. They certainly have a better late March to mid May climate as they often avoid BDCFs and the associated cloudy and easterly flow. If our winters continue to stink then I'd agree that they have a better overall climate considering their better Spring weather and as we both roast in the summer and have similar Autumns.
  19. True tho DC and to some extent Philly will be baking starting tomorrow for the next several days while we stay cloudy in the 60s.
  20. Cloudy and a high of 50 today, 56 in Philly and sunny and 80 in DC, heck of a back door!
  21. Yes extremely gusty windswept rain in Manhattan right now
  22. I agree that there is a psychological element to it, but the gloominess over the past few years has made it feel worse.
  23. Awful day. Climate in NYC is beginning to really stink now for half the year: Winters too warm for snow and Spring, while not necessarily below average are overly raw and wet.
  24. It's an extremely rare event! Unfortunately could not make it out of the City but will take my kids to the Park to experience the partial eclipse with the special glasses. Not nearly as good as being in totality but better than nothing. I did research if/when NYC will be in the path of totality - May 1, 2079! Will either be dead or too old to know what is happening assuming I am even still living here, lol.
