    Whether the sleet line makes it into the NYC area later on or not, enjoying a heavy and relatively high ratio snow now in the UWS, pretty awesome stuff!

    Yea very true, it's rare the NYC area scores big on back end snows (upstate and New England are another story though)

    People need to take into consideration that many in the NYC metro have already gotten 5-6 so anything the maps show are on top of that

    completely agree that it'll take a while to saturate, though was a bit surprised to see echoes already making it up there

    Reports of some snow already in DC/MD area and radar showing some returns up to C NJ (maybe some Virga). Perhaps an earlier start time is on the table?

    The stall potential for this makes things quite interesting, it's been a while since we've had one of those to track!

    Seems like a BM track, what's causing the mix? Lack of a fresh High supplying cold air or not strong enough of a storm to generate its own? Something else?

    For snowmaps, it depends on how knowledgable people are about the weather (more so meaning less gullible). Doubt a majority on this forum would believe any of them verbatim 5-6 days out but for the gen public? Different story all together!

    Truthfully I fell asleep so I missed the 1-6AM period but I took a walk at around 630 last night and it was insane!

    I think we'll get there and if it verifies, I wouldn't call this storm a bust

    Yea I agree, here in the UWS it only sleeted for an hour, so I think we would have done quite well if we maintained the heavy rates that we had earlier in the evening

    Actually coming down at a decent clip now in the UWS, maybe we can squeeze another .5-1" until this all ends

    14.7" from 1AM-345AM, insane (5.35"/hr rate)

    I’d guess CPK will end up over 8 with the final measurement so it would be within guidance albeit on the lower end of the range.
