  1. Dumb question but I can’t find those maps on the winter site anymore - you got a link?
  2. GFS remains insistent on ice Wednesday/Thursday.
  3. EURO was good last night for threat after threat… kept us in the game over and over. Could obviously go 0/5, but at least we keep swinging
  4. Kinda falls apart - but that’s the timeframe the EPS likes a lot. Hoping we are entering an active tracking period, at least
  5. CAD holds through 120 - nice ice storm on the back of the sleet/snow.
  6. Idk maybe it’s out to lunch but it is actually cold at the surface and ICON/Euro made moves to it. Hmm.
  7. Step in the right direction but GFS remains alone as genuinely impactful… it’s now a nice snow event for NMD, sleet for DC/NOVA, and ice further south.
  8. Our best posters have been saying forever our best window for the rest of winter is Feb. 15 - Mar. 15, so anyone canceling winter was silly. After Feb. 8th or so has looked really active on the ens for a bit - so I’m interested starting then. I can’t really buy the GFS’s output for Wednesday yet, but I’m hankering for something to track. Need a good distraction right now.
  9. Yeah, it hits us good. little bit of front end Wednesday, nice 3-6”+ day 10, 4-8”+ day 15
  10. You probably have to assume it’s wrong, but 6z GFS is still super wintry on Wednesday, even if it isn’t snow. 6z EURO was a slight cave towards it and threatens some light icing in favored spots.
  11. barring getting lucky with some sleet/ice on the 5th/6th seems clear we’ll still be snoozing for a while… but do love seeing the EPS keep lighting up at range.
  12. This is also all wintry precip of some kind for most of us on the AI Euro for the 5th/6th - looks like mostly sleet or ice, but some snow at the start if the shoddy temp maps we’ve got are right. Eventually flips to rain.
  13. The Feb. 5 threat is sneaking into the medium range now… GFS is at least wintry with sleet/ice for many of us.
  14. Awful, awful stuff. Been hearing the sirens for hours.
  15. Hearing the sirens of everything in the area presumably heading that way… hearing it’s a 60-80 person regional jet. Could be bad, unfortunately. Too many things in the air around here.
  16. If this counts, absolutely this - but the Oct. 10 event was way cooler IMBY. Aurora in the city at dusk! Total solar eclipse is also a big winner. Probably the winner, even though the duration is short.
  17. GFS was light snow for MD/PA border folks too. Better runs tonight.
  18. Tracking a long shot is more fun than watching the commies get clobbered
  19. Overnight the EPS/GEPS were more interested then the GFS for this one, wouldn’t be surprised to see the other models show the next digital hit (if we get one more)
  20. EPS isn’t nearly as dry as the OP, though it’s a little drier than previous runs. Think we’ve got an outside shot at #icemaggedeon
