  1. Might’ve been a stray flake or two but as far as I could tell the precipitation near Culpeper is mostly virga.
  2. About to drive through the likely virga around Culpeper. I’ll let you guys know if I see anything. [emoji6]
  3. ICON on TTT can’t portray mix/sleet for whatever reason, so I’m assuming it’s not actually the rain/snow line.
  4. Anyone have those CIPS analogs from a couple of days ago? Guessing they match the 12k pretty well.
  5. Just as I load the car up to head to Charlottesville the NAM gives everyone a 12-18” storm. Thank me later.
  6. 28/19 in Arlington. Decided to head back down to my dorms today so I’ll be doing obs form Charlottesville by the time the storm gets here. I know some people dislike CHO but I hope everyone gets the best storm possible.
  7. 18z EURO 1hr radar (see other thread) shows that precip might struggle to get going for a little while. With these one-hour radars you can predict weenie suicides down to the hour, it's amazing.
  8. Guess I'll bump up my total then. Don't say that! I'm feeling better this morning though. Was definitely upset yesterday evening.
  9. Running with a final total of 11.4” in Charlottesville based on what my friends are measuring. Wicked storm. Based on the number of photos and videos I’ve seen it’s almost like I was there.
  10. I have seven days until my first final and I went back home with my family. I was hoping the north shift was fake and that the RGEM/NAM we’re wrong. EURO and GFS were only calling for 5” this morning. I goofed and I won’t forget it soon!
  11. you are dragging me towards the ledge. i will forever remember this mistake
  12. 10.5" at UVA per the people I've pestered into measuring for me. Can't believe I wasn't there!
  13. 8.5” at UVA. Screaming. Internally.
  14. lol I could’ve been in Charlottesville and I’m instead sitting north of the hell line that is 66... screw this
  15. Can’t help but wonder if the heavy band coming up will help the storm advance a couple extra miles. But that’s weenie-talk, probably not how things actually work.
  16. While I’m waiting for my flurries... 4.8” in CHO.
  17. Radar echoes are about ready to creep inside the Beltway. #itshappening
  18. Lol there was snow reported north of Remington 16 minutes ago according to mPing. It’s still steadily crawling north. We can will this up 10 more miles.
  19. It is still steadily heading north... one hopes we can get a little dusty.
  20. It might be legit. Had another friend check and he got 3.5”. About ~1” an hour sounds fair.
  21. Fellow weather nerd at UVA reporting 2.7”. Seems slightly high to me.
  22. Looks like it doesn’t take a ton of virga to get to precip falling so that’s a decent sign... precip keeps slowly marching N. EURO dusts DC down at 12z.
