  1. It’s been snowing in Charlottesville for the past hour or so. Almost 30 hours of constant wintertime precip, just not that heavy.
  2. dang, so 6.5" does seem low. Guess I'll have to mix family/spotter/poster reports. Anyways we are probably around 4.1" in Charlottesville, I'll allow myself to add a tenth since it's been snowing here for 6 hours since I measured.
  3. Family measured 6.5” in N Arlington, which sounds close. Maybe a little low.
  4. This was the peak of the good stuff down here in Charlottesville. Still snowing, but flake size has dropped.
  5. Best snow of the storm, non-paved surfaces redusted
  6. best snow of the storm, slushy surfaces dusted again.
  7. Hey, it’s actually snowing in Charlottesville again.
  8. hey, the flakes are visible again. Nicest snow I've seen in the daylight.
  9. Tiny signs of life on the radar below Charlottesville. Hunting for some dendrites.
  10. Got my family in N Arlington to measure again and they have 6".
  11. hate to ask the IMBY questions but should I pay attention in Charlottesville or just close the blinds, in your opinion
  12. Close enough to 4” with compaction and wasted space at the bottom of my ruler.
  13. dang, my pics don't look as nice when they are blown up on the forum. oh well HRRR wants to give Charlottesville and Arlington another 1-2"... I'd sell my soul for some good rates in the daylight rather than this snizzle we've had for the past 3 hours.
  14. Might go out and remeasure. Some spots seemed like more then 4”.
  15. What did you measure? I measured 4” but walking around Grounds it could be slightly higher. Or maybe my sense of what an inch is is off.
  16. -SN and 30 degrees. Very pretty. Finding breakfast than going to get the obligatory snowy Rotunda picture.
  17. There is still a little juice south of Charlottesville headed up your ways that should hopefully keep any lull to a minimum.
  18. Arlington: 5.2” Charlottesville (Grounds): 4” So not that different. Looking at a slight bust in Charlottesville unless we get in on some action later today, which I’m not sure we can pull off. Pic below is from Arlington and is very cute.
  19. 3.5” on my best measuring spot, but it’s now just ice pellets. Annoying. Not sure when/if we flip back. Also not sure when we flipped.
  20. That just looks like wunderground. Hitting the hay down here in Charlottesville, setting an alarm arbitrarily for 4:00 so I can go check what’s up. The mixed snow/ICEP report 10 miles south concerns me.
  21. Calling it 1.7” because the bottom of my ruler has some empty space. Definitely not high ratio snow.
  22. SN in CHO. Roads gone. Gonna grab my ruler in a second but I’m guesstimating 1.5”.
