    This is very unique for this area. Not a lot of spaces here flood. Four Mile Run sometimes.... but water rescues in this neighborhood is something else. Radar estimate has me over 3”. It’s been an hour.

    Wicked stuff. Radar is estimating 2.5” for my location and I doubt it’s super wrong. That would be in less than an hour.

    I’ve never seen floodwaters in N Arlington until today. Garbage cans are lying in low sections of hilly streets. If you know of Williamsburg between Glebe and Old Dominion, don’t go down it. Foot of water in some spots and impassable on one side due to debris at present.

    Man, you’ve been getting screwed. Past couple of storms have been some of the more energetic ones I’ve seen in awhile. Lots of good T&L lately.

    This turned out to be a very smart observation. Got a couple storms popping up on the VA side of the Potomac now.

    Something trying to pop south of Burke, maybe the start of NOVA getting into some stormy action.

    I could see calling it broad rotation based off the radar. As to if the mountains play any role... no clue

    Storm that popped up just north of Arlington surprised me and ruined a third day in a row at the pool. Tired of this heat.

    I could have sworn I saw a bit of rotation in the storm too. I actually took a video of it but it’s pretty cruddy. Maybe I saw my first legit rotation though...
