the default weather app and whatever appears on windows computer is showing tonight as snow... got a lot of questions on in the office. feeling pretty good about seeing a little sleet tonight before midnight even in downtown. Little skeptical of accretion... if I happen to be up early i'll see if we managed a glaze.

Can't quite capture the full precip of the 12z AIFS but it all looks like snow for most of us. Will check the new fancy Ptype maps soon.

Understand but this is kind of like social media. Enough people repeat the same thing in a bubble and it feels true. Hype builds and cascades and next thing you know my family says I lied when there isn’t a major snowstorm next week.

I’m guilty of it too but it’s those kind of things that make today feel like a rug pull. Constant “this feels like 2016 6 days out” comparisons. And tbf it did lol.

No one is promising you a north trend, all I was trying to say is at 150 hours I think all you can be is content that 20” is possible somewhere within 100 miles of you. You are within the margin of error, even if you might rather be Fredericksburg right now

yep - snowing by around hr200. Looks more icy/sleety then snowy

The Canadian suite smokes us - maybe too much precip to accrete - only hanging around 30/31. Will be interesting to track temps tomorrow.

I know this is an IMBY game but the GFS gave someone 20" of snow within like ~75 miles of you. I'd be OK with that at hrs 130-160
