  1. Rapidly approaching 32. Seems like its more "freezing" rain than sleet at this point. Hoping for a surprise as the storm starts pulling away to top off the slushy mess that's about to happen.
  2. About 90% sleet at this point. Calling it 1.8"... we'll see what happens on top of that.
  3. Still fighting here. Maybe 20/80 sleet/snow. CC says I gotta be close to a full flip.
  4. starting to hear a couple pings. Ready for my ice storm.
  5. Still all snow as of 1:00. No pingers. Would love to hit 2". Even if it flips to pingers, it's cold out there. 28.5 average on my local stations. Should just add a protective crusty topping. Hopeful we can avoid the washaway.
  6. 1.70" in N Arlington. Still all snow for the time being.
  7. Flakes got a lot bigger in N Arlington. Might be a warning sign but I don't care. HRRR has the best handle on it and it's even two/three degrees too warm IMBY. Bring on some sleet/ice. +SN right now. Rippage.
  8. Calling it 0.5”. Flake quality is pretty poor but it’s all snow and it’s coming down at a good clip.
  9. Better than I honestly thought we’d do. Two more hours please.
  10. Heh, temp dropping at my local wx stations. All the ones around me are below 30. 29.5 or so and solid SN. Coming down nicely. No sleet since the start.
  11. Dropped down to 30. Every once in awhile I get a decent gust and it looks beautiful out. Could probably start slant-sticking some kind of measurable on the cartop soon. HRRR claiming it'll still be snowing IMBY at 2:15pm and snowing at a good clip. My fingers, toes, legs, everything is crossed.
  12. Wasn’t expecting any street coverage, so I’ll take some spotty snow on the side streets in a heartbeat. Tough life we live when that image excites me.
  13. Definitely SN in Arlington. Taking my forum-mandated Jebwalk now and enjoying what we got.
  14. Seems to have transitioned fully to better flakes IMBY. Sleet is temporarily gone. I’m hoping we can push it a little past 12:00-12:30 but that’s because I’m hugging the HRRR. That’s probably a realistic guess, though.
  15. Solid mix of better quality flakes, pixie dust, and a little sleet at the moment in my corner of N Arlington. Still 30.5/22 or so.
  16. As long as the dark blue over the Beltway is correct, you can have whatever you want.
  17. Driveways/sidewalks turning a bit white. First little band already letting up, though.
  18. Yep. Feels like winter. Car is already a little topped. FWIW: probably a couple ice pellets mixed in.
  19. Feel comfortable crossing off DC Snow Hole. For some reason first flakes always begin north, south, east, and west of the District.
