    What a great day, been snowing moderately all morning, picked up a few more inches, still coming down lightly now. Pulled out the quad and was ripping through the property and street. Just a wonderful day, all my kids outside and not on the computer/phone/xbox.

    Just woke up and I guess I missed all the action. Looks to be be about a foot of snow outside. I just read the discussion from the national weather service and duchess and ulster county‘s got hit the hardest. We are due for an additional 2 to 4 possibly 5 inches of snow throughout the day as a secondary law is formed. .

    Finally started lightly snowing up here. TWC future radar (I know it’s bs) showing snow ending around 1am yet their hourly forecast shows snow until noon. .

    So far nothing. NWS upped my totals from 4-8 to 7-12 now and 12”-18” Eastern Catskills. .

    ...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM SATURDAY TO 7 PM EST SUNDAY... * WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches. Higher amounts of around 12 inches are possible in the eastern Catskills. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph. This graphic doesn't match up, I am not complaining about a 2" difference, just complaining about lack of continuity on the NWS. I am in southeast Dutchess BTW.

    Amazing the certainty of this storm for rain 5 days out but 48 hours out we cant nail down a snow storm. Why cant a low form offshore and rob the energy from the main low west of us?

    This graphic says I am getting 8"-12" but the Winter Storm Warning issued for Dutchess County says 4"-8".

    And spring starts on the 25th? Just like last year my AccuWeather App always shows cold 8 to 10 days out but it never comes. Gives me a low of 10 degrees on the 2nd, meanwhile 5 days earlier it showed a low of 1 degree the day after Christmas and that got pushed almost a week away. I want to believe things will change but its been a long time coming and alot of disappointments along the way.

    Taconic North - Putnam Dutchess Borderline. Came down heavy and temp dropped from 36 to 32 then back up to 36 after I passed this. .
