So a few days ago everyone was writing off winter and waiting for the “torch”. My how things have changed in the past day. .

With the meteorological world steeped in frustration a nation turns its lonely eyes to the highly esteemed Joseph Bastardi. For years Mr. Bastardi has graced us with his immeasurable wisdom and provided guidance and soul searching for budding practitioners of the barometric arts. As the long doldrums of a barren winter eviscerate our hopes and emasculate our most fervent snow packed dreams, we pray for Mr. Bastardi to extend us the blessings of his everlasting graciousness and meterological fiber, and to comfort us in our time of need. .

I want to believe, I really do but doesn’t everyone remember last year? Pattern flip after Christmas, then after New Years and then when it finally came it was not impressive and then it was back to the warmth. Eventually I believe winter will return and this period will be just a bad memory. .

So we have been below normal with snow for quite a while. Are there places in the Northern Hemisphere that has been getting above average snowfall? If we are constantly getting cutters, then aren’t folks to the way west of us getting more snow being on the cold side of the low? .

By the sound of it my suggestion is too late but if you intstall a HARD START CAPACITOR in your compressor you can get many more years of service from it.

Doesn’t seem we will be getting the above normal hot summer everyone was calling for. Now if they called for above normal humidity they would have been correct. .

Drove up from Manhattan to Dutchess, deluge the entire ride. Taconic flooded in many areas but passable. It was like driving in a snow storm, 35 to 40 MPH the entire way up. Took me an hour and a 40 min, normally an hour and 10 min. .
