    These models are horrible. No consistency between them and no consistency from run to run. Even the short range models go from 6 inches to 1 in less than 36 hours between runs and only 24 hours out from the start of the storm here. And the long range ones have been all over the place the whole time and still are with GFS still showing 5 inches here and the Euro barely 2.

    GFS back to the jackpot zone from northern Wake NE into VA.

    GFS looks good for Wake and areas north and west.

    All the other models seem to be further south with the snow in NC than the NAM and FV3.

    But they are saying with those conditions and setup there should not be a warmnose like that.

    And it's only about 40 miles that is the difference between what the 3k ends up with versus what the NAM and FV3 show.

    Crazy how much different the 3K is from the NAM and FV3. Not only is it colder than both, it also has a longer lasting event.

    FV3 looks like the NAM. A lot more ice on it and the NAM for Wake and to the south.

    NAM gets worse and the 3k gets better. And still snowing here on the 3k.

    NAM is definitely the warmest. Has more sleet and freezing rain outside western NC.
