    Thanks Mack...and Pack. I will try that. I keep Roundupping my natural areas and weeds keep coming up. I actually want weeds to grow in this area and nothing will. I'll do what you said and see what happens. No idea on the grass type. I think it's some kind of hybrid variety of clovers, dandelions, chickweed, stuff like that.

    You may have stumbled upon a potential problem there; I have never put any grass seeds in that area.

    Can someone tell me why nothing will grow in this area? I'd be fine with weeds growing there, like they do everywhere else in my yard...even in the shady spots. But I have about 2-3 places like this where nothing will grow. It's like the ground is poison.

    Every now and then, I'll find a big pile of feathers and a little blood stain in the garage. But they never kill anything helpful.

    Lol I tried an experiment to see what was the top speed that a two inches in diameter nugget could remain fixed to the hood of a vehicle. To my surprise, it hung on at 83 mph. I'm not sure my car can go faster than that. I had to back her down and swat it off later. That Meow Mix is good stuff man!

    I have three fat, lazy, good for nothing loafers, one of which frequently drops turds on the hood of my car.

    Yeah man. Moles make all the tunnels in the yard and the voles eat my garden up. I have way too many of both.
