  1. After nearly two weeks, I finally got cable and internet back yesterday. I didn't miss TV at all, but it's difficult to work from home w/o internet. Another gorgeous day out there! Got down to 58F overnight and currently sitting at 70F.
  2. A week+ with still no cable or internet -- sign me up for lame...lol! 74F/72DP
  3. Ha! Maybe several cold ones. And the Wine & Spirit Shops are reopened, too!!
  4. Glad your power is back, Paul. Got mine back around 6:30 last evening. But Comcast says cable and internet won’t be restored until Monday pm. Seriously, I’m not one to exaggerate. I can honestly say I’ve never personally seen such damage from a storm in my life. Not Sandy, not any of our ice storms or any other severe weather events. But again, it was very localized to just a certain area of my neighborhood. Two, three streets over, just your typical storm damage, if any. It’s almost like an F0 tornado came through, but I’m certain it was straight-line winds. Anyway... 86F/69DP. Not the most comfortable today to play with the chainsaw, but at least the AC is running!
  5. Good luck! Hopefully more comfortable weather after today.
  6. Still in the dark. Asplundh trucks are on the street behind me, they have their work cut out for them. Picked up .8" overnight.
  7. No word from PECO when power will be restored, but I’m thinking several days. Two large trees are down on my property and the wires are under one of them. Fortunately no damage to the house. Amazing how localized events like this are—the other end of my neighborhood looks completely untouched.
  8. Massive trees down in the yard. About as bad I’ve ever seen it here. Power out.
  9. It is night outside! Wind is picking up and I can hear boomers in the distance.
  10. 12Z NAM looks out of touch as it doesn't have the line of storms in north-central PA. I think it's a day of looking at the radar, not the models.
  11. 92 days until the start of met fall. Just sayin'.
  12. Picked up .8 in the bucket yesterday from two heavy downpours. Currently 68F/63DP.
  13. First time this season I failed to get below 70F for an overnight low -- bottomed out at 70.7F.
  14. Let's enjoy it while it lasts! Hazy, hot and humid will be here before we know it. Also got down to 53F overnight. I'll miss this great sleeping weather once summer kicks in.
  15. .52 of rain yesterday, .32 so far today. Some heavier downpours from time to time, but for the most part it's been a beneficial, soaking rain. 65F.
  16. Rain!! Feels a bit muggy out there too -- 70F/63dp.
  17. Yes, it certainly gets one's attention. Imagine if that date stamp said Sept 19, I'm sure we'd be looking at something deeper than 996mb.
  18. Only got down to 64F overnight. Saw my first stink bug today, waiting on the lantern flies.
  19. Some of the recent looks we've been getting from the seasonal models are interesting. I don't claim to have any skill at long range forecasting. (Heck, I don't even know if I'll have a t-boomer in the next 24 hrs). But I did see a graphic the other day showing how dry it's been in the west and how wet in the east. Got me wondering if it was giving us a glimpse at the mean ridge/trough positions going forward. PS. Can't imagine anything more humid than these last few summers.
  20. Glancing at today's Euro, unlike this past winter, it looks like troughs want to keep dumping into Japan. If correct, I guess any warm up won't have staying power.
  21. Just got about 20 seconds of pea-sized hail. wtf??
  22. 36F and just because I'm seeing an hallucination flake or two doesn't mean I'm as think as you drunk that I am
  23. I did make it up to 71F today, but have since dropped down to 62F. Made it to 78F yesterday. I guess these were our two nice days for the spring. I'm sure after this next cool down, we'll head straight into another Redsky summer of azz.
  24. Winter 2019-2020...delayed but not denied!
