  1. I was out in the yard this morning, not bad at all with the high clouds and breeze. Enjoy it while it lasts, incoming summer of azz! 81F/ DP 67
  2. Picked up .20" overnight. Despite all the recent rain, the ground is not soggy and my sump pump wells are dry. I'm sure there was a lot of run off on Friday, but just goes to show how dry it's been -- the lawn soaked up the rain like a sponge.
  3. I think we have an X-File on our hands.
  4. Hearing cicadas this morning and there's a dead mouse on the driveway. Other than that, 78F/DP 66.
  5. From what I read, the males don't have stingers. And while the females do, they have no interest in going after people. But yeah, they are vicious looking!
  6. Saw my first cicada bee this morning but still haven't heard any cicadas. That sucker is going to starve!
  7. 3.51" for a total. That should keep the lawn green for another week. Marginal risk today, more storms later?
  8. 3.36", just some leftover snizzle now.
  9. Moderate to occasionally heavy rain here. Approaching .50" at noon. Impressive little storm. Makes you wonder what Fay might have been capable of if this were 9/10 instead.
  10. Rain shield is on the doorstep. Got a mow in yesterday, so bring on the rains! 75F/ DP 72
  11. Tacked on another .13" last evening for a grand total of .15". 68F/DP 67.
  12. I'm still at 0.02" for the day, but looks like the first significant blob of the day is about to move in.
  13. So parts of Philly picked up more than 4 feet of snow and I got a passing flurry or two.
  14. Dark skies, thunder, wind...not a drop of rain! But I did shave off 10 degrees, now down to 83F.
  15. Currently a battle between sun and clouds here, 93F/DP 72. Based on model depiction, looks like the storms will continue to fire along outflow boundaries.
  16. My favorite line from the movie Biloxi Blues is when the Matthew Broderick character steps off the train and say, "It's hot. It's Africa hot."
  17. I've been listening for cicadas, but nothing here yet. Already 89F with a DP of 72. Short range models show storms firing up later today -- could be gully washers if you get under one.
  18. Yeah, I missed out on the showers this week too. Lawn is starting to look crispy. Putting the mower away until further notice.
  19. Lost a minute of daylight in the morning, fall is on the doorstep! 78F/DP 68
  20. Yep, just had a quick 10 minute shower, dropped my temp down to 75F. Perfect timing as my turf guy applied a treatment this morning.
  21. Here comes round #2, you should cash in on this one.
  22. Actually, I am a little west of Lansdale proper, more like Towamencin. Anyway, picked up a quick .20" and a ten degree drop in temp, 69F. The lawn enjoyed that!
  23. Looks like a downpour is on my doorstep. Hearing thunder. 79F/DP 67
  24. Getting a nice downpour right now. It's been a bit dry lately, so the rain is welcome. 66F
