Did y’all see the video from the Lewisetta, VA tornado? Wow.

@high risk can explain better but you see a curved hodograph on the left indicating supercell potential and very strong helicity (SRH on the right) in the lowest levels of the atmosphere. Cell south of Comer, GA looks like it could get a tor warning if that circulation keeps up. Just a lot of rotation today generally.

Two more tor warnings up in Georgia. One reissued on the earlier cell NE of Athens and one on the previously severe warned storm south of Monticello. Active wx day and the Texas stuff hasn’t popped yet (another subforum I know).

Both warnings dropped.

New tornado warnings up NE of Athens, GA and SW of Charlotte. Hard to get a read on both cells via radar. GA cell looks good though with a strong couplet.

Hopefully the damage wasn’t too bad. The TDS looked pretty strong at one point before Atlanta proper.

Yeah, definitely a dangerous situation. Missed my family by like 10 miles.

Just a few minutes ago I said that one would become worthy of a warning. It had acquired some rotation right after passing my parents’ place. Stay safe down there today.

It was drone footage. Definitely some of the best I've seen. The tornado would have been virtually impossible to see without it. As for the second question, I want to say that what we're seeing is really strong inflow, but after watching it a few times I think it's the larger circulation of the tornado. I'm not as well versed as others, but it looks like the Bear's Cage to me: basically the precipitation wrapping around the updraft, with the actual tornado (condensation funnel) in the center.

Sharing this here because it’s truly incredible. You can even see trees start falling as the tornado approaches.

I knew you’d recognize it. Such a great storm. Pure whiteout conditions under that band of S++

I had serious arm soreness after shot 1 that began as minor 3 hours after the shot and progressed to pain in the joint about 12 hours after the shot. Really interesting how everyone reacts differently.

I was out of it for 24 hours with arm soreness (less than the first shot though), fatigue, chills, and a headache, but it was better than I expected. Arm soreness came three hours after the shot, the other symptoms came approximately 12 hours after the shot.
