  1. Yeah sell the wind.... I’d like the rain though... models so far today look a bit better for that. .25-.50 coming from random tropical showers isn’t going to cut it.
  2. Ukie would actually get a few inches of rain in this area
  3. Yup... wet gunna wet. Most modeling has like a half an inch of rain here.... that won’t even put a dent in the dry conditions here.
  4. @dendrite Here are the trees from fast growing trees. October glory red maple and the Japanese maple.
  5. Rich get richer.... this isn’t even worth following. I expect dry conditions in eastern NE
  6. Played west Bridgewater country club again today. 45 front nine and 46 back for a 91. Take out the first and second hole 7 and 6 and could have been sub 90. Whoever said in this thread that the first hole blows, they are right. Tiny fairway rolling right out of your car.
  7. My October glory maple and Japanese maple came in today. I took them out of the box and put them in the shade and watered them. Should I leave them in the shade and water them for a few days before I plant them? Also, should I leave the October glory staked the way it was shipped? And the Japanese maple is basically a long twig, do I need to stake that as well?
  8. Yeah usually when I miss it’s long... it’s tough trying to control the club speed. The hardest shot in golf might be the ball that is in the rough that is 3-4 feet off the green. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve hit it like 2 feet and other times I hit it way over. So hard to hit it that delicately at that short a distance
  9. My wedge game inside of like 75 yards is probably the best part of my game right now.
  10. Shot a 99 at acushnet.... ALL over the place today. Some monster drives and a lot of awful putting. Drove one hole to within 10 yards of the green and ended up with a 6.
  11. I’m keeping track of how many times I golf and how much I spend to see if a membership somewhere would be worth it. Do you use golf now? Some decent deals on that. We typically like to be under 60 dollars for 18 with a cart
  12. That’s a pretty good looking tree.... spreading pretty good already
  13. Great to hear... any pics of it by chance? I got the same size you got, so I’m curious what there shipping method is and how it will get to me. It’s encouraging to hear you had a good experience though. I’m optimistic.
  14. Playing acushnet Friday afternoon this week and hillside in Rehoboth Sunday morning.
  15. That is actually where I got the price that was over $400 lol. That would have been very nice since they are literally 5 mins from me. Anyway, I’ll keep you posted and take a few pics when they arrive. They are slated for the beginning of August, so I’m a little concerned about transplanting them in hot weather, but from what I’ve read, as long as I’m diligent with water, they should be fine
  16. Had a decent round today at West Bridgewater Country club.... 92
  17. Yeah... I’m guessing it’s probably about an inch or inch an a half... that would probably translate to a 6-8 foot tree. The one I looked at today was maybe 2” or a little bigger... it was a decent looking tree... but $475 is a lot of money. I went ahead and bought the tree, with the 1 year warranty, which was only 14 bucks, so if I get a dud, I’ll just send it back. I also bought a Japanese maple, 2-3 feet tall for $30 bucks. It’s very small I’m sure but if I can get it to grow, it’s worth the gamble
  18. I for some reason have a lot of trouble getting a good hard swing on my irons. Can’t get the mechanics to all lock in for a nice shot. It’s kind of a wonky swing unless I just do a short like half burst almost
  19. Anybody have experience with a website know as fast growing trees? Reviews seem pretty solid and they seem to do quite a bit of business. I went to a place today and the price of an October glory red maple was over 400 dollars... so I found a 7 foot tall one on this site for a little under $200. Any ideas how big of a bucket that size tree will come in? Maybe @dendrite?
  20. Playing west Bridgewater country club tomorrow morning, formerly known as riverbend
  21. Yup... I have a folder where I keep them, just in case.
  22. Home Depot was 50% off trees this weekend. Picked up a flowering cherry for 50 bucks and 2 good sized dwarf Alberta sources that are about 5 feet tall for 60 bucks a piece.
  23. That would be sweet. I played like crap today... shot a 102 and absolutely melted down on the last 2 holes. Smashed my club into the ground and tossed it about 50 yards. Not great
