  1. Just out of curiosity, what is the return rate for a system like that down here? If ever? Can’t be often
  2. Yup... big money to maintain too. Plowing, and if it’s gravel, grading filling etc etc
  3. Yeah I think that was issue last spring.... it got hot pretty fast and just kind of burnt out. All my neighbors are on wells and they all have irrigation and run it daily, so I’m less concerned about running the well dry. I’m the only house on the street without irrigation, so keeping it wet is going to be the challenge
  4. Edging the beds tomorrow and going to order some mulch this week.
  5. When can hydrangeas be planted? Ordered some through a Nursery and they Are in really good shape, just obviously small having them shipped. Do I plant them now or wait?
  6. No money so I just fertilized the entire lawn with the leftover starter fert from last year
  7. I head ya... what you see is kind of what you get in my yard currently. The plan was to re do the back yard with loam and new seed but that’s obviously on the back burner until further notice now. It’s green and doesn’t look horrible so it is what it is. I literally ordered hundreds of bulbs that flower between late spring and fall to plant in our bed that is bare. Can’t afford to do what is really like to do which is line it with some nice bushes.
  8. I have a bed that goes along the side of my house that I made deep into the fall... arborvitae didn’t make it, so I ordered a bunch of bulbs and am just going to plant all kinds of bulbs and stuff over there that flower at different times. 100s of bulbs
  9. Nope.... pretty crazy. I think they fell victim to being a non essential business...
  10. They refunded me no problem actually. They are all shutting down unfortunately.
  11. Course I was scheduled at this weekend is closed for the foreseeable future. Now I try to get my money back from golfnow
  12. Yup... the place I’m going to next weekend is doing that. I actually spoke to the owner and he said he is doing everything possible to follow all guidelines so he can stay open and provide people a safe outlet during these times. I could t agree more.
  13. I went last weekend and it wasn’t bad at all, had a 1pm tee time. Courses are taking a lot of precautions. Staggering tee times, sanitizing carts, removing bunker rakes, asking that you do not remove the flag, no ball washers, etc etc. In theory, golf should be something you CAN do during these times. Open air, far apart, small groups. Kind of checks all the boxes
  14. Playing at stone e lea in Attleboro next weekend
  15. Played olde Scotland links in Bridgewater last Sunday.... it was my first time out on a course in almost a decade. Shot a 117.... yikes
  16. Hoping the warm temps keep up. Backyard is getting done this year. Putting loam down.... going to need a lot of it
  17. If last years will not work, can I have the new credentials. Thanks again
  18. A storm like yesterday is a prime example of how you will get a much lower number if you just stick a yardstick in the ground at the end of the event. Your losing several inches at least. Same concept measuring and clearing once every six hours too. Yesterday your probably losing a few inches of whatever fell when you take a reading at 6 hour intervals. Sucks because it makes the storm seem less impressive.
  19. We have the Taunton Municipal Lighting Plant here. Huge perk of living in Taunton. Ive lived here my whole life (24 years) and have lost power maybe a dozen times? And never lost it for more than a few hours. during this 3 storm blitz I’ve lost it once for 25 minutes.
  20. Going with 18.1” total here... bob was about 17” and Matt (butterfish) also in that area. Feel good about it as we are all usually close. this has been an odd winter for sure. Heart of winter was a furnace basically, but we’ve had some good events on the front and back end. looks like I’ve recorded 16 measurable events in the snow table.. most obviously small, but I’d be curious if there is an average number of measurable snows we get around here per season
