  1. I have to answer a questionnaire everyday before going to work. In addition to being tested once per week. Im in the same boat... if we travel to any place deemed a “high risk” area... we are to quarantine or isolate for 2 weeks. And this is using your own sick/vacation/personal time or whatever. We could lose our jobs if we violate. Essentially, they are basically telling you not to travel, without actually coming out and saying it.
  2. Yeah.... I’m sure this is a time many would try it. My wife may dabble in it a few times a year, if that. I don’t, and never have. I operate heavy machinery and per my contract, I can be drug tested (even though nobody ever is, or has been to my knowledge). I also rarely drink, once in a blue moon.
  3. Yeah... I agree in most respects. Sitting on obvious revenue because you can’t get your act together to pass something is just very silly, especially in a time with massive budget shortfalls
  4. Looks like mass has again punted on sports wagering in the state. Losing out on 35+ million in tax revenue a year. so frustrating
  5. We paid 60 bucks for 18 and a cart Yesterday. We were told when we got there it was cart path only because of the rain on Friday night. what a joke; the cart path at this place was so limited, we would have been better off walking the whole round. The path was a destroyed mess of pavement and it ended like 100-150 yards before every green. I don’t mind walking, but charging people a full cart fee for cart path only nonsense like that is so dumb. What a ripoff
  6. I personally could give a rats azz what people think of me. If I’m allowed to go skiing in NH you can give me all the dirty looks you want, I’m still going skiing. my personal opinion is the ski resorts are in a lot of trouble if state to state travel is restricted again come this winter. And if the states are serious, it’s pretty easy to make sure nobody from out of state gets on the mountain... as far as ticket purchases and stuff like that
  7. My advice to folks would be don’t book anything that can’t be changed/cancelled on short notice. We have a room booked for just before Christmas for some skiing. I paid a bit extra for the ability to cancel it right up to the day before.
  8. Everything’s bigger in Tex ass.... including their stupid laws.
  9. Yeah.... it’s tough for a lot of things... the stuff I bought today is hardy down to -20... should be pretty safe here I think
  10. All trees and shrubs 50 percent off this weekend at Home Depot. Picked up some nice looming holly bushes and some dirt cheap ornamental grasses.
  11. Bringing my new skis and boots to be tuned and fitted tomorrow.
  12. Nice.... just in time to torpedo ski season.... I’m sure NH will be next
  13. Paste job at my Parents house in NW Taunton and rain once you got to the green. And it stayed like that for hours
  14. I remember when it used to snow around here.... good times
  15. The closing of schools because of one or two positive cases is pretty dumb. If that is the threshold, schools won’t be open again until a vaccine has been widely distributed to the entire population. Read an article that Baker is asking for documentation and reasoning behind communities with little to no spread or cases opting to go fully remote.
  16. I work at a college. I’ve now been tested a dozen times since early August... once a week... and even twice a few times. The results are usually turned around in 12-18 hours... never longer than 24. The entire campus community is being tested at least once a week, pumping out north of 3500 tests a week.
  17. What more can we do though? I feel like New England has been pretty good about testing and contact tracing, and the reopening for most places around here has been painfully slow/ non existent. I mean ultimately nobody is forcing anyone to go out to bars or crowded places. If someone chooses not to do that, totally fine, but if some people want to try to get back to some sense of normalcy, I think that’s fine too, if all reasonable precautions are taken.
  18. I booked a trip for a few days right before Christmas to north conway and hope to ski cranmore a few days. I spent a bit of extra money to be able to cancel right up until the day before. You never know these days
  19. Looks like nobody will be skiing then . Runny nose. Holy Christ
  20. Pretty depressing article. Sounds like if a certain set of scenarios play out we could be in big trouble... vaccine or not.
  21. https://www.evo.com/outlet/ski-packages/atomic-punx-five-skis-look-nx-10-bindings thinking about splurging for these.... last years model seems like
  22. Thanks for the honesty.... so basically the skis are useless with bindings that can’t be worked on..... I’ll have to shop around. Im skeptical of ski swaps happening like you mentioned, so I guess I’ll have to shop around.
