  1. This is the right attitude. Our pool is, and has always been, in the middle divisions. We like it that way. The kids are mostly there to have fun and swim their best. No one cares all that much about our record . . . we'll likely be 1-4 this year and it's no big deal. Due to our location, most of our B meets are against top-division teams. The atmosphere is so much different and is not something I'd ever want for our pool and our kids. (One notable exception is Langley, which seems far more laid back than the other Division 1/2 pools we see.)

  17. I had the same reaction . . . I assume that's below average, but I wouldn't characterize as "pretty dry" or "devoid of precip."
