My #1 passion in life has and always will be the weather. I've always loved the weather for as long as I can remember but early on it was focused on extreme weather such as tornadoes. After 2003, my fascination grew for hurricanes and then after 2006 for tropical cyclones worldwide. Now my interest in meteorology and climatology covers all areas. Since 2011, my interest in heat waves and heat in general has grown considerably. I'm a full-blown heat lover and have always preferred heat over cold...summer is obviously my favorite season (June being the best month) followed by spring, fall, and then winter. I find warm-based weather more interesting in general. That doesn't mean I don't enjoy a good winter storm or lake effect snow however.

My tropical meteorology knowledge is higher than my non-tropical meteorology knowledge and I aim to learn as much as possible on both. I tend to have a lot of questions but as Jon Kingdon put it, questions are the creative acts of intelligence.
