  1. Two others from that site, Wellfleet / PTOWN 110.0mph Inst. max at Anemometer #1: The aforementioned temporary anemometer tripod #1 at White Crest Beach, Wellfleet, MA recorded an off-horizontal (due to vibration loosening tilt-mount support) gust to 110.0mph at UTC 712 10/27. This chaotic, extreme gust was validated examining raw pulse buffer data. (Inst: 110.0mph @ 7:12:56 0.1s: 109.5mph @ 7:12:56 ½-s: 108.0mph @ 7:12:56 1s: 105.4mph @ 7:12:56 3s: 96.3mph @ 7:12:58 60s: 76.0mph @ 7:26:40) 103.6mph Inst. max at Anemometer #2: The aforementioned temporary anemometer tripod #2 at the high-exposure spot near Dune Shacks Trail in Provincetown, MA recorded a traditional horizontal wind speed of 103.6mph at UTC 636am 10/27. This was also validated by examining the supporting raw pulse buffer data free of artifacts and inertially consistent with the viscosity of air. (Inst: 103.6mph @ 6:36:44 0.1s: 101.6mph @ 6:36:44 ½-s: 99.6mph @ 6:36:45 1s: 96.7mph @ 6:36:45 3s: 91.5mph @ 7:52:13 60s: 78.1mph @ 7:27:12)
  2. I'm sure this will be a common theme as the sun rises. across the street
  3. Strongest winds between 3-6am it appears. I was initially thinking between 10-midnight. schools closed here.
  4. I didn't think the winds would remain this strong when I woke up.. this is insane.
  5. Still have power but it has flickered off about 12 times. It sounds crazy out - would not be shocked to hear reports of 70-80mph here.
  6. you can make out the gravity waves in the radar. here comes the damage
  7. peak winds here seem like they'll be between 10pm-midnight..then further shift further inland through SEMass etc.
  8. If i had to venture a guess, winds are 30-35mph. maybe gusts to 45mph so far
  9. My anemometer is definitely crap . right now sustained 7.8, max gust 14mph
  10. Winds aren't really supposed to be notable until evening and especially overnight.
  11. This could be the worst storm here since I moved last October. Looking to see if my windometer gets more accurate readings with NE winds. It kinda sucked on the storms with S/SW winds, I think due to it's location.
  12. One thing that kinda sucks is the foliage just recently started to show up in the last 2-3 days. Any of chance of a decent peak in the next week or two is going to be crushed down here.
  13. The HRRR has us relatively dry until 3pm..and that's about when the winds should start picking up. but not excessively windy until tonight
  14. sun and clouds 65° so far this week has actually been mild and surprisingly nice outside of yesterday morning and overnight. we take
  15. Partly/Mostly Sunny and 63 - actually really nice out after a garbage morning.
  16. I'm not there yet, but I'm nowhere close to the passion I had in my 20's. Meanwhile, heres snow88 and ineedsnow in the Land of Forever weenies, still with the winter twinkle in their eyes
  17. You lost the inner snow weenie inside. like Peter Panning
  18. Some of the models hinting at the storm next week being Steined offshore or to the south of us. In Stein we trust
  19. I wouldn't be worrying about snowpack in Foxboro. That is something that's only interesting during the epic winters. Let's start with having an average winter, snowfall wise.
