    maybe in NY harbor..but they have been dropping steadily the past month. down to about 45° in Cape Cod bay..which I think is close to average unless you mean gulf stream, in which case I have no idea

    The Day 8+ OP runs sure do trigger some emotional knee-jerk reactions. We've had far worse patterns in December. Of course every post like this needs the disclaimer that a decent pattern does not guarantee snow, but it must get tedious.

    4 straight below average seasons (or near average on the last) so the clock has already started on the regression, for a lot of us. At this point, we just hope for a biggie mixed in with the sea of meh

    Compared to my place it's Stowe..at least this morning it felt like it. I'm currently in Canton next to Blue Hill..gotta be 2-3" OTG with very lgt snow still falling.

    0" but not unexpected. Had some flakes at times but no stickage. The water is a bit too warm still.

    Yeah I drove up RT3 this morning...got bad right around Plymouth with some pretty heavy OES. It was 35° and lt rain when I left, and dropped to 25° once I got to Weymouth.

    From what I can tell the 6z EPS extrapolated would continue the trend of the secondary development occuring further inland.

    well, I would qualify it and say that given the upcoming pattern over the next two weeks, I'd be shocked if the interior doesn't do relatively well. For tomorrow though, it's a win if the ground is whitened in eastern areas. maybe you score an inch or two

    me neither. my expectations were always low here..but I could see this causing some melts further inland. nothing else really showing that yet, at least

    good test for the GFS. it ain't as bad as it used to be, but it's also 7 days out. I wouldn't completely dismiss it. Any sort of compromise would still be a decent hit

    yeah the 3k had a mini jack area just off cape..would be nice to get some flakes flying regardless

    Nah over the Cape would be a rainer inside of 495, at least.

    GFS is probably way off on the suppression..but I don't think it should be easily discarded like it used to be. Still within the realm of possibilities, as is a NYC hugger.
