  1. cmc tries to get a norlun for eastern ma as a consolation, you can hang your hat on that
  2. That was my thought too..but desperate times so we take sloppy seconds if necessary
  3. regardless of the end result, the shades are open because there are things to watch and/or track on some models finally.
  4. 18z gfs likes the Euros 1/5 storm. develops too late but a beast for Eastern Maine and Canada
  5. Nothing lasts forever, even cold December rain
  6. GFS Op finally throws a bone, Jan 6/7th
  7. Man, everyone taking cracks at WinterWolf and so far he has yet to succumb
  8. feels like early April. so festive
  9. pretty boring on the OP runs down here. hopefully that changes at some point
  10. just pretend the tiny droplets of drizzle are actually diamond dust crystals
  11. 19.4° low this morning, coldest so far this winter
  12. 34.3 for a high and current temp of 32.9 thats solidly BN here
  13. bruh, worry about getting your 1st inch than worrying about a snowpack
  14. peak snow climo here is February, but a snowless holiday season with a couple brutal rainstorms thrown in breeds misery. But anyone punting Winter as a whole this early would be foolish. That's probably a strawman, because I'm not sure anyone is actually doing that.
  15. The most you can take away from this stretch is that we aren't getting a raging s'easter on Christmas Eve or Day. Other than that, dog shit until possibly around new years. I'm at 2" so technically near or above snow climo, but it's always a bummer when we can't sniff a stray flurry between December 20-31.
  16. Luckily, it's 15 days out. And the pattern does start to look better after next week's tentative abomination.
  17. The GFS verbatim would send a bunch of people into melts with a nice cutter setting up for Jan 4th, after the 28th disaster (
  18. How high above a roof does an anemometer need to be to get more accurate readings? Mines about 6ft above the highest point on my roof, away from the chimney..but it still seems like turbulence is causing some issues. Only record a 34mph gust yesterday, when it reality we were in the 60's (or at least 50s)
  19. Ouch..might be a little too early to spike this one. You potentially screwed yourself with bad juju
