  1. That was my general point, granted I haven't seen 18z yet. The GEFS spread is even wider to me, while the overall mean seems further east. There's still time for positive trends
  2. Punting is a bit premature. the spread at day 6 is wide enough to garner continued interest. Maybe defense/coping mechanisms at play here /tip
  3. 18z GFS looked like a step back to me. low gets going further offshore. northern energy looked primed to 'subsume' but timing seemed off. maybe due to the western ridge being a bit worse
  4. I just heard thunder in Sandwich, so I wonder if that was from the lightning in Carver per the radar
  5. Could be referencing one of the biggest blizzards in New England lore, or one of the worst posters of American Weather forum lore..not sure
  6. after only getting .5" of snow last week, I may be prone to some melting if the 17th and 20th both falter. I'm not out yet though; I think one of these will pan out
  7. That still rains here Going to need a GFS like solution or some compromise with Euro to keep the snow locked to the coast
  8. I agree, hard to buy the Euro. I'm leaning inside the benchmark close to Nantucket. I'd be surprised if the Euro doesn't course correct somewhat by 12z
  9. I think I had a quick 8" in a 5-6 hour whiteout, then sandblasted with sleet by late afternoon/evening before the rain. I remember being in awe of how the snow came in like a wall of white
  10. I was 9 during the March 93 storm and remember expecting a 'backlash' the next day. I wonder where I heard that from, maybe Schwoegler? Wasn't like it was retrograding from the Gulf of Maine or anything
  11. Credit should be given where it's due. However, it's clear they don't prioritize spending on the team now like they did in years past. There's a reason the Sox are called Tampa Bay North now
  12. This actually makes me somewhat excited for the draft again.
  13. Time to clean house, including all his Lacross buddies he hired to coach
  14. It seems like the only options showed by models so far is weak mess offshore or wound up bomb that cuts through New England, where longitude is key. Hope a 3rd option starts to show.
  15. Best part of the storm here is these ocean effect streamers..light but it's actually cold now so it's accumulating a little bit. congrats to everyone away from the ocean
  16. Aside from that good burst around 3pm, the temps never dropped enough to keep that going. hovered around 34 the entire time and mixed back in with rain at times. ending with a slushy coating it looks like.
