Other than TWC stuff, the most iconic/nostalgic 5/7 day forecast to me was WBZ's in the 90's. Burbank liked to stack up those snowflakes above and beyond those daily graphic boxes for the biggies.

Im going to ignore that snow map, as it's brutal here. 8" vs 3ft about 20 miles west.

Still looks great, especially when you factor in the other models. If they all move to each other, we're golden.

I'm on the NW corner of the Cape so have some wiggle room from a Cape perspective - but wish we could just lock these runs in now. 4 days is an eterrrrrrnity

But man that 00z 1/24 Euro run was EPIC. I don't think anything could top that

I remember getting 10" of sand in Feb 2006 when we were forecasted for 18"+ and feeling like it was a huge disappointment. I definitely like to be a part of the big totals, otherwise its just ok.

nothing can look better than 12z. so, it looks worse?

it starts as 18z then flips to the 12z run on the fly after a certain # of hours. it's pieced together like Frankensteins monster on that site

GFS with an INT, time for the Euro to capitalize and regain the title.

big fan of those out and hook-in solutions. I need this start out with a bit less longitude before the hook, ala Euro and Icon

the track is an abomination for ESNE. best to ignore the maps

My point being the Euro OP is on the eastern envelope, with UK. I wouldn't be shocked if they cave more towards a GFS/CMC type track.

If this was 2-3 years ago, I might be getting my hopes up that the other models would soon be trending towards the EURO. But we know how this story will end.

Unfortunately, this snow map erection will only last for for 4 hours, not 4 days.

I'd take the Euro, but wouldn't be suprised if it gets schooled (again) by the GFS in this range.

GEFS mean still looks good for Coast, but if you look at the clusters it favors something crossing SEMASS/Cape

The GEFS looks west leaning vs 6z. @120h

Ya what I noticed too. Maybe it will be somewhere between 0z and 6z. we shall see.

I mean if it's going to slam into LI or the Cape, let it at least be something historic, like the 940's, 950's

I'm riding the blitzkrieg model until it surrenders to the allied forces (GFS, UK, EURO). Have a feeling this storm is going to make or break some people on this board. Those who haven't learned by now to temper expectations.

We dont' want any more trending westward. If anything, you'd want the ensembles to hold serve or tick back a bit, and the OP's to follow suit.
