  1. "Radio Control. That would be a negative. I see no snowflakes falling over Okinawa. Permission to ban?"
  2. LOL! You know me and my webcam creeping on snowy places... I already checked out Tahoe and Jackson Wyoming right before woflie's crib. Hey, I'm off for the next two weeks....
  3. Radars lie. Rumors about lake effect. Gotta set it or it ain't happening. It certainly looks more wintry there than the next county south.
  4. I take it you might want to do... "ahem" ... some trading?
  5. @wolfie09, I just found a live webcam for Pulaski. This must be a new one. Now I can 'fact check" your observations. https://www.earthcam.com/usa/newyork/pulaski/?cam=pulaski_salmon
  6. It's certainly not pretty, but this is not a shutout pattern we're in. We have chances over the next 2 weeks. It's not a torch, and it's not a winter wonderland. But, it's better than what we had the first half of the month. I'm keeping expectations super low, but also would not be surprised with some surprises. If tomorrow night works out, that would be one of example of a minor event that was non-existent on the models a few days ago.
  7. Looks like some good instability crossing over Lake Ontario right now. Perhaps we'll see some squalls forming this afternoon.
  8. Maybe if you get up at 1 am and put on the flood lights, you can huddle around the tree and still have a White, rainless Christmas. Win! (Kind of?)
  9. It's not just the -PNA causing this "problem." It's been a pretty common theme across the Great Lakes in recent years. You have to be waaaaaaay north of a Low to get snow because the air is "stale cool" air.
  10. Check out how GREEN the grass is in East Syracuse! East Syracuse | WSYR (localsyr.com)
  11. No, I think he's referring to the pixelation differences.
  12. I loved how other schools would act like that was such an insult...lol Our response back was always... "At least we're not the Hempfield PORKERS!" lol
  13. Remember the days when you used to be able to have Low pressures go to your south and you'd get snow? haha It does get better though as cold air sinks south.
  14. Just as long as it doesn't move any more north and east, we have a chance. I am noticing the models ever-so-slightly making those adjustments. What I am seeing on the models goes along with what is so common in our region with these waves: Precip. mimima over the Finger Lakes, moisture loss in Finger Lakes shredder, late redevelopment of precip. until it hits I 81 and eastward. Temperatures should be fine for snow though.
  15. lol...best friends went to L.S. I went to Penn Manor. I was a "West Sider." West Willow represent!
  16. The sun just came out, and within seconds I could HEAR and see the dusting of snow melting rapidly off the rooftops. lol
  17. I'm just glad I grew up in a normal town....with a street name..... (i.e. Willow Street)
  18. Spring? That's summer. But I guess when our average high is like 90 now in the summer, 80 is Spring...
  19. I think at this rate, the way winter has been going, those plow guys will consider Thursday night/Friday morning a "plowable event." At least the ones who get paid per plowable snowfall...
  20. Not just skiing, but also the snowmobiling season for up here in Upstate NY. The past several winters have been a disaster for the Snowmobiling industry in the Tug Hill region.
