Is that close to where the college is? Looks like it’s hopping on a Sunday night
Yeah, not too far away. I was watching all the people too. It's definitely not usually THAT busy. I am thinking a show or something let out, as there were lots of dressed-up people walking around. Armory Square is one of the nicest parts of Syracuse.

For some reason, I thought you were south. LEK should be getting it good in Caz.
No, I'm in the Northwest corner of the county. It's been a "better" winter here than most of the rest of the county (with the exception of the Route 20 corridor from Skan. to Caz) where they've been the jackpot zone.
One of the wintriest nighttime shots of downtown Syracuse for the season tonight:

Exactly. Lol... Thanks! BGM is usually more conservative with their maps, and I know to follow theirs. So, when they usually show a healthier amount, I think they're seeing something that would make it more of a reality.

Yawn. The Syracuse suckfest continues on. I hate NW flow lake effect. We maybe have gotten two inches, but it melts, then a new dusting, then melts... somewhat of a snowcover, but hard to get much more with the crap elevation and the ever-so-typical showery scope of lake effect. We rarely ever see consistent snowfall like the Tug and Buffalo areas. I am sure this will put BGM over SYR even though we were "supposed" to get more.

Interesting, the nws burlington 30 yr avg map shows the holland patent and remsen area averaging more than lowville.
Doubtful. The Utica to Rome area actually misses out on Lake Effect MANY times. The average there is 80 to 100 inches.

So the parish house was a no go. One thing I've learned in this area, basements or any foundation below ground is a negative. Completely different than philly area, this area and drainage is terrible. Anyways, curious to get yours and @TugHillMatt thoughts on these 3 houses im looking at. These are in the rome area. 1 is about 9.5 miles northeast of rome or about 4 iles nw of holland patent. Nice house, it's up on a mtn, elev about 1250. The other is about 2 miles northwest of remsen, elev about 1350. Final one is about 2 miles west of west leydon, elev 1560. Whats nice about the west leydon house, its in the heart of the tug, but only 16 miles from Rome, which is hell of a lot better than lowville to watertown.
West Leydon house, for sure. Good snow retention there too. The one located near Holland Patent will bring you the same issues you had near Lowville, with even less average snowfall.

The Hyundai Santa Fe I owned for 12 years was amazing in the snow. I absolutely loved that car. My Nissan Altima isn't nearly as good in the snow, but that little thing goes around turns like a pro and has great acceleration. It's very easy to accidentally speed in that vehicle. Plus, it can get 37 miles per gallon...filling the tank up once can give over 600 miles on one tank!

We'll see about this...hopefully this will increase the lead SYR has over BGM. Fighting for 3rd place. How far we've fallen.

Maybe "Smarch" is akin to "Snowvember" on here?

It's quite dark and dreary with low clouds today. I thought for sure that it was about to rain, but it doesn't look like much on radar.

Ooo yea I’d never just base it off snow, but def something I take into consideration lol. I’m just traumatized over the lowville shadow. So just want an area that gets hit good with lake effect
Low elevation-wise, Volney to Mexico is one of the best spots in Oswego county and this general snowbelt for Lake effect snow.

You said everything I wanted to say last night, but decided not to. I'm glad you posted this because I feel the exact same way.

Thanks for your kind words. You guys are making me miss my home state...which hasn't happened in a LONG time.

Hint......
Vegitarian....akin to rabbit food eater.
I ALWAYS eat the bacon....especially on salad. (I saw your veggie post a long while back) and was just being a smartass....I know....shocker.
Lol...good memory! Well I thought that...but I was like, "How does he know?!?!" I have to be careful with sharing so much...hahaha

ditto. 80 percent of us are closer to the middle than the extremist on either side. You are nowhere near alone pal. Born n raised conservative that cant shake it outta my bones, but I've got plenty of progressive in me that knows that times are not what they once were and am willing to consider both sides. I dont know what you went through, but your plenty safe n welcome here.
and you keep eatin all that rabbit food....I'll like my proteins charbroiled with a side of rabbit food
To the ones that were "grilln" ya for whatevs....they are likely the Oz's in the group (see pic above). 1 on 1 they dont stand a chance. They are like a pack of hyenas...alone they are nothing.
PS....I've learned more from my liberal friends/clients than I ever will from those that are like minded....but my like minded friends keep me grounded in my convictions.
If you ever get back to the area, I'd be glad to meet at the Frogtown for a brew....my treat.
Look for the guy on the Harley withOUT confederate flags.
Thanks! I would like that. I "lol"ed at the confederate flags. True...and sad. There were plenty of people at Penn Manor who had them waving in their trucks...and most of them were big a-holes. So much more I could say, but won't... Lol. I don't know what I am missing about the rabbit food? I actually am a vegetarian...lol (although bacon pulls me in occasionally.)

meh....who cares. I didnt know what/where yall were talking bout as I've said numerous times, I stay in here cause I got tired of all of the MA bullsh1t. I'm w/ voyager, I dont care if your lib/trumper. That has no business here, and while I know many in our forum sit on the other side, it matters not to me. We need that for balance, as long as its done w/ mutual respect. And that's where the diff is w/ trix and the other trolls. Internet warriors scare me none in the least. They collectively puff their chests and team up cause it makes them feel big. Here's what I think of anyone like that.....
Well, I am a Centrist/Moderate and try to understand things from different perspectives...which many of them see as "weak." I was silly and stupid for thinking I could actually try to have a rational conversation. They ripped into me and accused me of a whole bunch of nonsense. So, some of the guys from here were just giving me kudos on how I conducted myself. Sorry it was brought up, but I really appreciated the support, as I felt pretty alone in my thoughts after the pile of crap I went through yesterday. It was encouraging to know that there are other sane, rational adults that still exist. I enjoy you guys on here!

I am guessing it was Hamilton at the Landmark Theater.
It's always entertaining just to see how often people go the WRONG way on this ONE way street. I get anxious watching it, but they usually figure it out pretty quickly. Thankful it's not a high-speed road.
