This is my "baseline melting".... just general frustration. It won't be the level of others from other subforums who start personal attacks on other posters because of their snow weenie frustrations...

Lake effect? Syracuse missed out on the band I got in November...total for the year there is below 14 inches. Those lakes have done almost nothing for us this winter...or last...It's just been a garbage trio of winters. Lake effect only works when we actually have cold air...and SOME moisture.

Since the GFS was on its and not budging...like I said last night if a model is stubborn and doesn't "fall in line" the others seem to follow suit...especially these days when synoptic snows of over an inch DON'T exist in CNY. Best to be skeptical of anything showing a snowstorm hitting. The overall pattern is just garbage. Reshuffle please.

That looks exactly like the storms we USED to get in the East. Whatever happened to Lows running along the Apps? Now they run for Jamestown.

My sister in law sent me this picture from their place in TENNESSEE. I was like, "I barely have any more than you do." lol

We can also get slammed really well if there is a multi-lake connection along with that flow. It usually only last several hours, but those are the events where I've seen it snow 2 to 3 inches in an hour since moving here. It even snowed 5 inches an hour for about a half hour last year. That was incredible!!!!

We want 290 to 310, either steady, or fluctuating back and forth to get us snow weenies in the North Syracuse burbs well.

Whew-ie. Maybe half to three fourths of an inch here. Hopefully the stuff forming over Southern Ontario makes it here. Otherwise, Looks like the "Tughill Curse" has prevailed.
