  1. Hey, get those low ratio snows and then freeze them over at night. Our lake enhanced snowfall from yesterday was barely touched by the sun today.
  2. Wow, some of the schools around here are already doing delays and closings. I'm guessing it's a combo of wind chill, snowy roads, bus drivers, and C0v1d.
  3. Perhaps one of those rare times Geneva actually picks up some additional lake effect if that banding kicks in. They're definitely in a snow hole there. We used to have a poster from there. I wonder whatever happened to him.
  4. Yeah, thinking that's more for southern and western Oswego county (despite them including the large amounts for Pulaski.)
  5. Oh, I didn't doubt you. I agreed that it would fall apart. I was just musing on how quickly it happens.
  6. You can already see the NW flow kicking in over E. Wayne and N. Cayuga counties.
  7. Very smart move on BGM NWS's part. As soon as the band died down and moved south of the Thruway, they updated the advisory for "additional snow." Since the southern part of Onondaga won't get the band like up here, their total will be 3 to 5 inches, with an additional 3 to 5 inches for the northern part of the county (as long as the multi bands form). Additional snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches. For the Wind Chill Advisory, very cold wind chills expected. Wind chills as low as 25 below zero.
  8. Good, hopefully you Buffalo guys can cover up the grass again (for another day or two).
  9. Better enjoy whatever we get tonight and tomorrow, because if the models are right, we might not see much for another week or two. lol... Could always get some "pop up" waves that show up a couple days beforehand, as we've seen already. I'm guessing we'll have a little break after the band/front goes through and some snow showers/smaller bands will start forming.
  10. The Volney area, just to the Northeast of Fulton, does even better. That's the Jackpot zone for this area. There's a slight ridge that runs across there and it's located at a great spot. I have kept my eyes open for homes in that area. lol
  11. This is 3 to 4 inch per hour stuff...as it started here an hour ago and that's what I have so far.
  12. I was just about to say that. It may have lost some intensity, but it is still dumping at a couple inches per hour AND the band is fanning out a bit more.
  13. Yes, but usually we just get one main band across Ontario if other lakes are involved.
  14. Yup! Pouring snow...Looking forward to soon seeing the rates @phoenixny is currently experiencing.
  15. Hah! You're currently experiencing the strong emotions that come from being on the sidelines of a lake effect band. Melt-inducing, isn't it?
  16. Your beloved COOP that always reports like half of what you actually got?
  17. When I had looked at a potential job in Lowville years ago, I had decided there was no way I would live in town. It'd have to be 15 minutes up on the plateau. I mean, 130 inch average snowfall is a nice amount...but knowing almost double to triple that amount was only 15 minutes away would kill me.
  18. I got you. https://www.earthcam.com/usa/newyork/pulaski/?cam=pulaski_salmon
