I would rather take the risk with the Euro being further east than with the further west GFS. Once they start going west, they just keep going and going.

Hopefully GFS is showing the furthest West track and the 12Z Euro furthest east. Tighten the path...

Yep. I think this one's gonna be too far off the coast for us. The trough isn't in the right spot..and there hasn't been a trough in the right spot for years.

The dewpoint doesn't look to get much above 32 degrees during this mini-warmup, so hopefully that will reduce some of the melting that occurs for those of us who have a snowpack.

True...with getting down into the single digits brings us to 35 to 40 degrees 1 or 2 days later...maybe getting down to 0 and below will bring us to 25 to 30 degree "ridge" with our next warm-up...and set the stage just right for our first real snowstorm of the season.

Oh, for goodness sakes, I have barely complained recently. The only thing I have "gently complained" about (lol) is the rapid speed at which the snow has melted because it's all lake fluff. (Which hopefully changes next week!) ...and you're not even on the same level as vortmax. He has had like 8 inches the entire season. #NocompassionforHamburg

Yeah, I have several more inches than you do, as my area of Baldwinsville has had some of the better bands this season. My snowfall totals for Sunday night and Monday night are very comparable to the "Liverpool 4.5 N" reports the past two nights. That's pretty close to my latitude and what I have observed. (I am on top of the hill near Budweiser. Total of about 7 or so inches since Sunday, give or take a bit. (The Baldwinsville 3.5 N I'm assuming is north Radisson, comparable to your latitude.) Euro also shows the lake involvement on the backside of the low. @sferic, this is the WNW flow that often helps this area out even more after an East Coast storm.

I sure hope so! You have definitely been in the screw zone this season. I've had a handful of plowable snowfalls with almost 35 inches on the season. Still well below normal for this time, but doing much better than many on here. The "positive" for you is that you haven't had to watch the snow vanish/vaporize within 24 to 48 hours every time...right? lol
