  1. If @Syrmaxhad his way, you'd be banned to hell.. a.k.a. "OT" forum right now...
  2. You'll know it. I predict @rochesterdave or @tim123will use it first. They love those lifeless bands.
  3. I think we should not tell Blue Moon. He will KNOW when it's mentioned, because @Syrmax will have these in a wad. Blue Moon, it's like your real initiation into Upstate.
  4. @Syrmax, care to have that honor??? Oh, how I wish our friend Freak was here... I believe he loved using that term back in his day.
  5. Rgem looks like it's taking a track from the Raleigh area to near Richmond and then extrapolating somewhere in Philly area/ NJ. That would be a solid track.
  6. I know as he read it he said "the word" in his head and that's all that matters......
  7. I suppose it's a good thing you're not fully one of these then...
  8. I think next week's going to be an EXCELLENT week for snowfall...especially if we get the lake involved. Growing up in a place with a very similar climate to NYC... the periods where the Great Lakes get the combination of synoptics and lake effect storms...were truly epic to me when relocating. It's been a few years, so many of us here are hangry...and we're ready to make up for it!
  9. I was referring to the "yellows" that are not on the legend for snow. Either way, HEAVY snow.
  10. Plus, this snowfall map sums up what you said very nicely... lol... Swiss Cheese.
  11. I think neither. The model doesn't know how to output extremely heavy snow.
  12. True. It could just as much all of a sudden jog it Northeast to Newark in the next timeframe.
  13. There's lots of cold air pressing in and no big ridge off the coast, so I don't know why it would cut NW like that? Is this what the NWS was discussing with the latent heat?
  14. Nam's out. Doing it's Nam thing...trying to throw lots and lots of mixing in well NW of the Low. Not sure what to make of this...
  15. Eh, it depends. If you go by ROC airport's measurements, the ratio will be 75:1.
  16. I really hope so for you. You could get a triple punch. This NE flow event, then the storm itself, and then WNW flow on the backside.
