  1. Lol..you guys have it. I just have to sit here another 72 hours trying to figure out if it's going to be sleet or snow. THM Non-Winter Storm Warning in effect.
  2. If I recall correctly, the temp was 20ish during the Blizzard of 93 when we had sleet for hours in Southeastern PA.
  3. Even the GFS is doing that weird mixing to its northwest. It's farther east (over Long Island) than Rgem and Nam, but you can see it showing up in the Berkshires and Eastern NY.
  4. Well, if it happens...it would be another example of continued extremes that seem to be occurring in these parts.
  5. lol... I truly can't believe both models are showing this. What are the odds? Apparently high if I'm here.
  6. For you longer-resident NY residents, have you seen a Low in that position off NJ bring in enough warm air to do such a ridiculous thing in the Syracuse area? It looks like we would be in that heavy snow that's showing up in ridiculous colors, but instead they're both interpreting it as a mix? I'm dumbfounded. The only thing I can think of is what I said earlier with the hellwind from the SE.
  7. Rgem does the SAME thing as NAM. Yes, I would have the ultimate Melt if this happened. @CNY_WXand @Syrmax
  8. Well, it looks like it's trying to push that maritime air in off the CT coast, over the Catskills and then it drops into the Mohawk Valley/CNY area. SE winds suck here. But, still seems very unlikely.
  9. Unfortunately we've been burned with synoptic systems sooooooo many times in CNY in the several years I have lived here, that I am so skeptical of good snowstorms here. Syracuse was a true synoptic snow king in the 20th century. 21st Century? Not so much.
  10. Eh, check out the bullcrap it pulls though...it "tries" mixing us and lightning up the precip. as the dryslot nears. Seems silly with the Low all the way off the NJ coast, which is a great spot.
  11. JUST misses to the east. No breathing room. But we also know that's usually the case if you can luck out and stay in the heavy banding that surrounds the dryslot. That's usually the jackpot.
  12. The NAMS have ALWAYS hated CNY. I think they were engineered with the intention of ticking us off. "Ehhh...let's give CNY a random mix and THEN dryslot them. tehehe."
  13. While it has the Low in a great spot off the coast of New Jersey, it has a huge dry slot...right up into CNY.
  14. Wow, if the NAM ends up anywhere close to being right, my in-laws in Clarksville, TN will get over a foot of snow.
  15. Speaking of which...Why do all your memes consist of ugly, miserable looking men? Is that how you identify?
  16. We all get teased for different reasons...makes for a fun time. The quick wit and hilarious comebacks have only improved over the years.
  17. Ha...I feel like we've wasted so much synoptic snow over Lake Erie and Lake Ontario the past couple years. I don't know if there's going to be a SE shift that some of us are hoping for. The models continue to narrow in on the Low moving over PA...and of course that dry slot shoving its way directly north...and getting closer and closer to us.
